Remote Control Instructions
A diagram shows a small remote control with four buttons labeled 1, 2, 3, 4.
Buttons:
- 1. Power button: Turn off the camera
- 2. Photo button: Take photos
- 3. WiFi button: Turn on/off camera WiFi
- 4. Video button: Start/stop recording
Note: Remote control is not a standard accessory; it needs to be purchased separately.
After powering on the camera, slide down from the top to access the preview screen. Click the remote control icon to select the remote control matching. The camera enters the matching interface. Press the remote control video button and the photo button simultaneously. Upon successful matching, the camera will indicate pairing completion. You can then operate the camera through the remote control.
Figure 1 shows the camera's preview screen with recording information. Figure 2 illustrates the remote control buttons being pressed. Figure 3 displays a pairing ID.
App Download & WiFi Connection
Scan the QR code on your smartphone or search for "SJCAM ZONE" in the App Store or Google Play to download and install the App.
WiFi Connection Steps:
- Slide the screen from top to bottom, click the WiFi icon to turn on the camera WiFi. The QR code will be displayed on the camera screen.
- Open the downloaded APP on your phone, click "Connect Camera → Scan Code to Connect". After scanning the QR code on the camera, your phone will enter the APP preview interface (interface may vary slightly between different smartphone systems).
- After successful connection, you can take photos, videos, change settings, and perform other operations in the App.
Operation Guide
1. Micro SD Card Installation
Press and hold the button, then slide the cover down to open the Micro SD card port. Insert the card into the slot, paying attention to the direction, and gently press inward until a clicking sound is heard.
2. Recording
Power on the camera to enter recording mode. Short press the OK button to start recording and short press again to stop. The recording icon turns red, and the video duration is displayed. The blue light next to the OK button blinks during recording.
Note: After setting the camera mode, it has a memory function; the camera will remember the mode before it was turned off when powered on again.
3. Photo
After turning on the camera, click the [Home Icon] at the bottom of the screen or slide the screen to enter the mode interface. Slide left/right to select the [Photo Icon] to enter photo mode, then press the OK button to take photos.
4. Playback
When the camera is on, slide down the screen and click the [Playback Icon] to enter playback mode. Select the video/photo you want to playback, then press OK to browse.
5. Car Mode
After turning on the camera, click the [Home Icon] at the bottom of the screen or slide the screen up to enter the mode interface. Slide left/right to select the [Car Mode Icon] and click it to enter Car Mode.
Note: 1. If installing the camera upside down in car mode, enable rotation in system settings. 2. After connecting the car power adapter, the camera will automatically turn on and record when the car starts, and will automatically stop recording and turn off after the power is disconnected for about 5 seconds.
6. Charging
A power adapter or car charger can charge the camera. The device's red light is on while charging and turns off when fully charged.
Note: Please use a 5V1A or 5V2A output power adapter.
7. Recording Settings
A. In the video preview interface, click the [Settings Icon] at the bottom of the screen. Slide the screen to select the desired option and click to confirm.

A. On the photo preview interface, click the [Settings Icon] at the bottom of the screen. Slide the screen to select the option to be set, and click to confirm the selection.
