Product Safety Information

Important safety precautions for using your FOXX smartphone:

  • Do not use while charging.
  • Do not use while driving without a hands-free system.
  • This device may emit a bright or flashing light.
  • For body-worn operation, maintain a separation of 5 mm.
  • Do not throw the phone into fire.
  • Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard.
  • Avoid contact with magnets.
  • This device may produce loud sound.
  • To avoid possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for prolonged periods.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the lifespan of electronic devices, damage batteries, and warp or melt certain plastics.
  • Avoid placing the phone in low-temperature environments. When the temperature rises, the phone may produce water vapor that can damage electronic circuits.
  • Keep away from pacemakers and other personal medical devices.
  • Avoid contact with liquids. Keep it dry.
  • Turn off when instructed in hospitals and medical facilities.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble your phone.
  • Turn off when instructed in airports and on airplanes.
  • Do not rely on this device for emergency communications.
  • Turn off when in explosive environments.
  • Use only approved accessories.
  • Avoid placing the phone in dusty and dirty environments, as this can damage parts.
  • Avoid placing the phone near a lit cigarette, open flame, or any heat source.
  • Do not drop, knock, or shake the phone. Rough handling can damage internal circuit boards.
  • Do not paint the phone. Paint may block earpieces, microphones, or other removable parts, rendering them inoperable.
  • Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean the camera and light sensor lenses. Do not use harmful chemicals or cleaning agents.
  • Pacemaker manufacturers recommend maintaining a minimum separation of 5 mm between a mobile phone and a pacemaker to prevent potential interference. (In the US, this separation can be maintained at 10 mm between the user's body and the phone).
  • Consult your doctor or the device manufacturer to determine if your phone's operation may interfere with your medical devices.
  • Turn off your mobile phone or wireless devices when in a blasting area or an area with "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to avoid interfering with blasting operations.
  • There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.

Know Your Phone

Diagrammatic description of phone components:

  • Camera Flash: Located on the front or back, used for illumination.
  • Touchscreen: The primary display interface for interaction.
  • Speaker/Earpiece: Located at the top, used for audio output during calls.
  • USB Charging Port: Located at the bottom, for charging and data transfer.
  • Camera: Main camera sensor, typically on the back.
  • Earpiece: The speaker for listening during calls.
  • Volume Keys: Buttons on the side to adjust audio volume.
  • Power Key: Button on the side to turn the phone on/off or wake/sleep the screen.
  • Microphone: Located at the bottom, for audio input.
  • Speaker: Main audio output speaker, often at the bottom or front.

Key Functions:

  • Power Key: Press and hold to turn on/off or restart the phone. Press briefly to activate or turn off the screen.
  • Home Key: Tap to return to the home screen. Press and hold to open Google Assistant.
  • Menu Key: Tap to view recently used applications.
  • Back Key: Tap to return to the previous screen.
  • Volume Keys: Press and hold to increase or decrease the volume.

Basic Operations

Installing SIM Card

Instructions for inserting a SIM card (and optionally a micro-SD card).

Note: Some applications may require a micro-SD card to function normally or store data. It is recommended to keep a micro-SD card installed and not remove or replace it randomly.

Basic Settings

Your service provider may have pre-set some device configurations, which you might not be able to change.

Display

  • Brightness: Adjusts the screen brightness level.
  • Lock Screen: Customize what is displayed on the lock screen.
  • Screen Timeout: Sets the time before the screen goes to sleep when inactive.
  • Appearance:
    • Dark Theme: Toggles dark background mode.
    • Font Size: Sets the system font size.
    • Screen Size: Sets the display size.
  • Other Screen Controls:
    • Auto-rotate Screen: Enable or disable screen rotation by swiping.
    • Screensaver: Choose screensaver and when it starts.

System

  • Languages & Input: Configure supported languages and input methods (on-screen or physical keyboard).
  • Date & Time:
    • Set time automatically: Use network-provided date and time.
    • Time Zone: Use network-provided or location-based time zone.
    • Time Format: Choose between default local format or 24-hour format.

About Phone

View basic information such as device name, phone numbers, legal information, SIM status, memory/storage, operating system, IP address, uptime, build number, etc.

This device meets the government's requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health.

FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement: The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the device kept 10mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain an appropriate separation distance between the user's body and the back of the device. The use of belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.

SAR Declaration: The US SAR limit for smartphones is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of tissue. The highest SAR value for this mobile phone tested is 0.502 W/kg for the head and 0.742 W/kg at 10mm from the body.
