ADSL/ VDSL Connections: Connect t he DSL port t o t he Modem or DSL port of t he ext ernal split t er/ microf ilt er (not supplied) wit h t he RJ-11 line cable. In some cases, your RJ-11 DSL socket will be built -int o your phone line socket on t he wall and you won' t have a separat e microf ilt er/ split t er. 2. LAN Connections: Connect a LAN port of t he rout er t o your comput er or swit ch. 3. Wireless Antennas: Connect t he wireless ant ennas t o t he rout er 4. Power Supply: Connect t he power adapt er t o t he Vigor 2763' s PWR socket on t he rear and plug t he power adapt er int o a suit able mains socket . Turn t he Vigor2763ac on using it s power swit ch. 5. The rout er will st art up. Af t er complet ing t he syst em t est , t he ACT LED will light up and st art blinking once per second t o indicat e t hat it is ready f or use. For more det ailed inf ormat ion of LED st at us, please ref er t o sect ion 2 Panel Explanat ion. 4 3 .2 Wa ll-M ount ing t he V igor Rout e r DrayTek Vigor2763 series rout ers have keyhole t ype mount ing slot s on t he underside t o hang t he rout er on, using screws at t ached t o a wall or ot her surf ace. 1. Drill t wo holes on t he wall. The dist ance bet ween t he holes shall be 168mm. 2. Fit screws int o t he wall using t he appropriat e t ype of wall plug. 3. Wit h t he screws inst alled, t he rout er can be slot t ed int o place. Not e The recommended drill diamet er is 6. 5mm (1/ 4" ). 5 4. Setup & Configuration This sect ion provides examples of how t o init ially access t he rout er and conf igure int ernet access f or t he most common t ypes of Int ernet connect ion. If t he inst ruct ions in t his quick st art guide do not allow you t o get online wit h your ISP or t ype of Int ernet connect ion, cont act your dealer f or advanced inf ormat ion. The ht t ps: / / pref ix ensures t hat your connect ion is encrypt ed using SSL so t hat your session dat a cannot be int ercept ed. Wit hout t hat pref ix, your dat a passes in clear t ext . You may get a warning f rom your browser (IE, Chrome, Edge, Saf ari et c. ) about your server (t he rout er) having an invalid cert if icat e. Your browser will demand f urt her conf irmat ion or except ion bef ore allowing access. The warnings will look somet hing like t hese examples. In each case, f ollowing t he prompt s/ links will allow you t o access t he rout er's web int erf ace. It is st ill encrypt ed wit h SSL/ TLS. Not e This warning appears because t he rout er's def ault cert if icat e is 'self -signed' rat her t han issued t o you by a cert if icat e aut horit y who has verif ied your ident it y. A self -signed cert if icat e means t hat you cannot verif y t he ident it y of t he server, but as it 's your own l ocal rout er, t hat shouldn't be an issue - your connect ion is st ill encrypt ed. The rout er login prompt will t hen request a username and password t o all ow access. If your Int ernet connect ion uses VDSL2 and your ISP has supplied you wit h a Username and Password t o connect t o t he Int ernet , go t o sect ion 4. 2. 1 PPPoE connection with FTTC VDSL2 If your Int ernet connect ion uses VDSL2 and your ISP does not supply or require a Username and Password t o connect t o t he Int ernet , go t o sect ion 4. 2. 2 DHCP / Static IP connection with FTTC VDSL2 If your Int ernet connect ion uses ADSL or ADSL2+ and your ISP has supplied you wit h a Username and Password t o connect t o t he Int ernet , go t o sect ion 4. 2. 3 PPPoA connection with ADSL / ADSL2+ 4.2.1 PPPoE connection w ith FTTC VDSL2 1. Go t o [ WAN] > [ Int ernet Access] Set t he WAN1 Access Mode t o PPPoE / PPPoA and click t he Details Page but t on t o proceed: 2. On t he PPPoE / PPPoA set t ings t ab: The det ails f or t he VPI and VCI set t ings f or ADSL should be correct f or UK usage, wit h 0 and 38 being t he def ault s. In most cases, it will not be necessary t o change t hese. The Modulation set t ing can be lef t on it s def ault of Mult imode which will aut o-det ect t he correct ADSL t ype t o use. Select t he Enable radio but t on at t he t op of t he page t o ensure t hat t he PPPoA int erf ace is enabled.
