Product Overview
The HotRC DS600 is a 6-channel, 2.4GHz remote control system designed for various applications like model boats, net pulling boats, and fishing boats.
- Built-in antenna
- Indicator light: Red (power supply), Blue (constant speed), Green (mixed control)
- CH1/CH2 rocker
- ST.TRIM: Ch1 direction trim
- THTRIM: Ch2 throttle trim
- Power switch
- Channel 3
- Channel 5
- Channel 6
- Channel 4

Basic Operation
Code Matching Steps
- Turn off the transmitter and receiver.
- Plug the Coder into the "B" interface of the receiver.
- Connect the power cord to the corresponding channel interface of the receiver (the receiver light will flash quickly).
- Turn on the transmitter power switch (the receiver light will be steady on).
- Unplug the code pairing device; code pairing is successful.
Receiver LED Status:
- Flashing: Powered on, no signal, not matched.
- Steady on: Successful matching and pairing.
Charging Instructions
The remote control has a built-in 1200MAH lithium battery with protection IC. Use a 5V mobile phone charging head.
- Turn off the remote control during charging.
- Red light indicates charging; green light indicates fully charged.
Function Settings
Mixing Control Function Setting Instructions
Function Description: Allows channel 1 and channel 2 to control two motors simultaneously for throttle or differential steering.
Setting Method:
- Turn off the remote control.
- Press and hold the [Channel 3] switch, then turn on the remote control power switch. The mixing indicator (green light) will turn on.
- The same operation opens and closes mixing control. The indicator light will go out when closed.
Out-of-Control Protection Function Setting Instructions
Function Description: Protects the receiver from signal loss, preventing damage or misoperation. It sets the throttle channel's default state when no signal is received. The default is the neutral point.
Setting Method:
- Ensure transmitter and receiver are matched and coded.
- Turn on the transmitter and receiver (receiver signal light should be on).
- Control the throttle channel to the brake or stall state and hold it motionless.
- Insert the codec into the receiver "B" port. The receiver LED will flash. After 3 seconds, the light will be steady on, completing the fail-safe setting.
Function Test:
- Turn off the transmitter power.
- Check if the throttle channel servo enters the set position.
Notice: It is recommended to set the throttle servo's safe return position to brake or neutral point, not open throttle, to avoid danger.
- Tram: Steering servo at neutral, speed controller throttle at neutral.
- Oil Truck: Steering servo at neutral, throttle servo at idle.
1CH/2CH Positive and Negative Settings
Setting Method:
- Turn off the remote control.
- Press and hold the [4 channels] switch, then turn on the remote control power switch. A beep indicates the setting state is entered.
- Set forward/reverse for one channel at a time by pushing the CH1 or CH2 joystick to its maximum or minimum. A long beep confirms completion.
Description of Stroke Amount Setting
Function Description: Adjusts the stroke amount for channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Channel 2 has no feedback during throttle adjustment.
Setting Method:
- Turn off the remote control.
- Press and hold the [OK fixed speed button], then turn on the remote control power switch. The red and blue lights will flash simultaneously.
- [ST.TRIM] Button (Channel 1): Adjusts steering stroke. Factory default is reduced; 20 gears available.
- [TH.TRIM] Button (Channel 2): Adjusts throttle stroke. Factory default is maximum; 5 gears available.
- [Channel 3.4.5.6]: Adjusts stroke amount in 10 gears, cyclic adjustment. Factory default is maximum.
Note: The receiver's antenna is crucial for signal reception. Keep it upright for stronger signals. Do not pull or cut it.
Receiver Function Setting Instructions
1. Model Description
The remote control supports various receiver models:
- 1: [CH6 Receiver]: All 6 channels are PWM signals.
- 2: [4+2 Receiver]: CH1 (direction PWM), CH2 (throttle PWM). CH3/CH5 (one channel at a time, CH3 PWM servo, CH5 power for lights/trawl hooks). CH4/CH6 (one channel at a time, CH4 PWM servo, CH6 power for lights/trawl hooks).
- 3: [Integrated receiver with brushed version power]: Integrates receiver and power controller, customizable.
