Introduction
This tool is designed for inflating tires, balls, and other small volume items that fit the air chuck directly or via supplied adapters. It is also suitable for inflating larger volume items such as air beds, pools, and boats. This tool is not intended for professional use. It is recommended to read this instruction manual carefully before use and save it for future reference.
Safety
- Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or those unfamiliar with these instructions to use the tool.
- Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the tool.
- Cleaning and maintenance by children should only be performed under supervision.
- Do not operate in explosive atmospheres (e.g., presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust) as sparks may ignite them.
- Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions, as water increases the risk of electric shock.
- Store the tool indoors in a dry, locked-up place, out of reach of children.
- Do not use a damaged tool; have it checked by an authorized SKIL Service Station.
- Servicing should be done by a qualified person using identical replacement parts to maintain safety.
- Ensure good ventilation at the working place.
- Make sure the hose is free of obstructions or snags.
- Never leave an inflator unattended with the air hose attached.
- Do not use a leaking or malfunctioning inflator or hose.
- Do not pull or carry the inflator by its hoses.
Battery and Charger Compatibility
Only use the following SKIL batteries and chargers:
- Batteries: BY5197E-03, BY5196E-03
- Chargers: SC5358E-01, QC5360E-01, QC5359E-00
Replace damaged batteries immediately. Do not disassemble batteries. Protect batteries from rain.
Permitted Ambient Temperatures:
- Charging: 4°C to 40°C
- Operation: -20°C to +50°C
- Storage: -20°C to +50°C

Charging Battery
Follow the safety warnings and instructions provided with the charger.
Removing/Installing the Battery
The battery can be removed or installed as indicated.
Battery Protection
The tool may shut off or prevent operation if:
- The load is too high: Remove the load and restart.
- Battery temperature is outside the allowable range (-20°C to +50°C): The battery level indicator will show a warning. Wait until the battery returns to the allowable temperature range.
- The battery is nearly empty (to prevent deep discharge): The battery level indicator will show a low battery warning. Charge the battery.
Do not continue to press the on/off switch after the tool has switched off automatically, as this may damage the battery.
Car Socket Connection
As an alternative to a battery pack, the car socket can be used as a power supply. Remove the car socket adapter from storage and connect it to the car socket.
On/Off and Controls
Press the on/off button to power the tool. The LCD display will show pressure information.
- Press the function button to switch between high pressure (default) and high volume functions.
- Press the LED button to turn the work light on or off.
- The tool will automatically turn off after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity.
High Pressure Function
Connecting the Air Hose
- Unlock the air chuck clamp ?.
- Place the air chuck onto the valve stem.
- For Presta and Dunlop valves, screw the adapter onto the valve stem before placing the air chuck.
- Push the air chuck down so that the threaded section of the valve stem is inside the air chuck.
- Lock the air chuck clamp ?.
Removing/Installing Adapters
- Unlock the air chuck clamp ?.
- Push the adapter into the air chuck until it stops.
- Lock the air chuck clamp ?.
Set Target Pressure
Ensure the high pressure function is selected (indicated on the LCD display).
- Use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to increase or decrease the target pressure to the desired value (between 0.2 and 11.0 bar).
- Press the ➕ and ➖ buttons together to change the pressure unit (e.g., PSI, BAR).
To avoid over-inflation, read the instructions provided with the items being inflated and never exceed recommended pressures.
Inflating (High Pressure)
- To start inflating, press the start/pause button ▶️. The actual pressure is shown on the display.
- If the actual pressure is higher than the target pressure, the tool will not start inflating.
- To pause or stop inflating, press the start/pause button ⏸️ again.
- The tool stops automatically when the target pressure is reached.
- The actual pressure may drop after the tool has stopped. You may restart inflating until the target pressure is reached.
- The tool may stop without reaching the target pressure if a low target pressure is set (less than 2 bar). You may restart inflating until the target pressure is reached.
- Allow the tool to cool down for 5 minutes after every 15 minutes of continuous use.
High Volume Function
Inflating (High Volume)
- Connect the high volume air hose to the air outlet.
- Connect the other end of the hose to the item to be inflated, either directly or with the tapered adapter.
- Ensure the high volume function is selected (indicated on the LCD display).
- Press the button to start inflating.
- Press the button again to pause or stop inflating.
- The tool does not stop automatically when the high volume function is chosen.
- Allow the tool to cool down for 5 minutes after every 15 minutes of continuous use.
Deflating
For deflating, connect the high volume air hose to the air intake. Follow the inflation procedure (press button to start).
Maintenance
- This tool is not intended for professional use.
- Always keep the tool clean, paying special attention to ventilation slots.
- Remove the battery from the tool before cleaning.
Environment
Do not dispose of electric tools, batteries, accessories, or packaging with household waste. Electric tools, accessories, and packaging should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling.
Prior to disposal, protect battery terminals with heavy tape to prevent short-circuits.

Chervon Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 36 165 077 501) warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the date of purchase. Any battery or charger will be free from defects for 3 years from the date of purchase. Consumables are covered by a 3-month warranty.
For industrial, professional, or commercial use, the warranty duration is ninety days from the date of purchase.
This warranty is applicable only to purchases from authorized SKIL retailers. It does not apply to products purchased from Amazon, eBay, or other non-authorized online retailers, nor to parallel imported products.
To make a claim, return the faulty item with proof of purchase directly to your closest service agent or place of purchase. Handling and transportation costs are not covered by this warranty.
Chervon will replace or repair defective products. Refurbished parts may be used for repairs. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or abuse.
The benefits provided by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies imposed by State and Federal legislation that cannot be excluded. Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
