For cassette E models, pressing and holding the SWING button for 4 seconds enters a field setting mode where you can select the Swing Mode (1, 2, or 3) using the temperature adjustment buttons. The SWING MODE will only function if the SWING function itself is activated. The active swing function is indicated by a specific logo on the display. If no button press occurs for 4 seconds during swing mode selection, the unit will operate with the currently selected SWING MODE.
1.4 QUIET Fan Speed
Press the QUIET key to activate Quiet fan speed, indicated by a Quiet symbol on the display. Pressing the QUIET key again will disable Quiet speed and return to the previous fan speed. Quiet mode is automatically deactivated if the FAN or TURBO button is pressed, or if the unit is turned off. This function is available in COOL and HEAT modes for selected models.
1.5 Set Temperature
Use the temperature adjustment buttons [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to set your preferred temperature. Each press adjusts the temperature by 1°C or 1°F. The default temperature range is from 16°C to 30°C (60°F to 86°F). An optional setting may limit this range to 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). Pressing both temperature buttons simultaneously toggles the display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F). Temperature setting is not permitted in FAN mode, and the display will not show temperature settings in this mode. The remote does not display the current room temperature.
1.6 SLEEP Function
Press the SLEEP button to activate the sleep mode. This function is not available when the unit is operating in DRY or FAN modes.
1.7 ON TIMER and OFF TIMER
The unit is equipped with two independent timer events (Timer 1 and Timer 2), each capable of having both an ON TIMER and an OFF TIMER setting. Refer to Table 1.1 for the specific key press sequences required to configure these timers.
Timers and Scheduling
Timer Settings (Event 1 and Event 2)
The procedure for setting both the Timer ON and Timer OFF functions is identical for Event 1 and Event 2.
- Press and hold the Timer ON/OFF key for 3 seconds to enter the timer setting mode. The corresponding timer icon (ON 1 or OFF 1) will begin to blink.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select which timer event to set: Timer 1 or Timer 2. A blinking '1' indicates Timer 1 is currently selected, while blinking '2' indicates Timer 2 is selected.
- Press the Timer ON/OFF key again to confirm your selection. The day setting will then begin to blink.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired day of the week.
- Press the Timer ON/OFF key again to confirm the selected day. The hour setting will then begin to blink.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press the Timer ON/OFF key again to confirm the hour. The minute setting will then begin to blink.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minute.
- Press the Timer ON/OFF key one final time to confirm the minute setting.
Each individual timer setting (Timer 1 ON, Timer 1 OFF, Timer 2 ON, or Timer 2 OFF) is confirmed only after completing all 7 steps. If no key operation is detected for 5 seconds during the timer setting process, the system will automatically exit the setting mode, and no changes will be applied.
The ON/OFF timer status is checked every minute. It is recommended to avoid setting the ON TIMER and OFF TIMER to the exact same time. If this occurs, the effective timer will be determined by the priority order outlined in Table 1.2.
Example: If ON TMR 2 is set for Tuesday at 5:00 PM and OFF TMR 1 is set for Tuesday at 5:00 PM, the system's response when the Real Time Clock (RTC) reaches 5:00 PM on Tuesday will be: no response if the unit is already on; the unit will turn on if it is currently off.
