By plugging this module into a LANCOM gateway, users can establish a direct fiber-optic connection to an XGS-PON network, eliminating the need for a separate provider modem and its associated installation complexities.

Direct Connection to XGS-PON FTTH Networks
The LANCOM SFP-XGSPON-1 transceiver module handles the necessary conversion of incoming data signals. This eliminates the requirement for an additional fiber-optic modem between the building's fiber-optic connection and the gateway, thereby reducing cabling, modem installation, and the need for an extra power supply.
Easy Integration
The LANCOM SFP-XGSPON-1 module connects easily via the 1G SFP or 10G SFP+ ports on LANCOM devices such as the 1800 blackline, 1900, ISG series, 2100EF, and WLC-2000. For optimal operation, a minimum LCOS version of 10.80 RU9 is required on the device. Connecting the module to 1G SFP ports will limit the maximum data transmission to 1 Gbps.
