Setup Guide: Using a Verizon Router with a Fios Extender
Wired Setup
- Connect the Verizon Router to a coax outlet. If the coax outlet is already in use, use the coax splitter provided in the box.
- Connect the Fios Extender to a coax outlet, ideally in an area with spotty Wi-Fi coverage.
- Connect the power cords from the router and extender to an electrical outlet [power-plug].
- After approximately 10 minutes, the indicator light on the extender should turn solid white, signifying a complete connection.
Note: If using Ethernet wiring instead of coax, follow the same steps, substituting an Ethernet cable for the coax cable.
Troubleshooting
Solid yellow light: Indicates no connection to the router. Please verify that both the Verizon Router and Fios Extender are using the same connection type (coax or Ethernet).
