Introduction
Read this quick guide before you unpack, install, and operate mobiLink Power.
Device Overview
The mobiLink Power device features ports for FIELDBUS (DATA +, PA+) and FIELDBUS (DATA -, PA-, HART N), as well as HART (HART P).
Indicators include flashing green for FIELDBUS communication and flashing green for HART communication.
It has an ON/OFF power supply button.
A USB-C port is available for communication and power supply.
The power supply to the field device is indicated by the status: preparing (flashing), active (steady), or overload (slow flashing).
The mobiLink power status light is steady green when the USB is connected.
Getting Started
Unpacking your mobiLink Power
- Take the device and accessory parts out of the box.
- Save the box and packing material for future use.
- Verify that the following items are contained undamaged: mobiLink Power device, USB cable (2m), red and black testing cables with clamp.
Setting up your mobiLink Power
- Depending on your use case (configuration/parameterization), download the MOBILINK dtm or the Communication Configuration Tool from the product website. Scan the QR code on the back page for quick access.
- Double-click the setup file to start the installation.
- Select the installation language.
- Follow the install wizard instructions.
- Read the User Guide available for download.
Startup and Operation
Connect the mobiLink Power via USB cable with your PC. Device operation requires management tools like FDI or FDT frame applications or configuration tools on Windows PCs.
Refer to the User Guide for safety requirements and details on setting up USB communication and configuring fieldbus and HART connections.
During startup, mobiLink Power verifies the operation mode against the connected fieldbus. Connecting fieldbus terminals to an operating 4-20 mA link may compromise the analog process value. Ensure correct connections and mode are used.
Safety
mobiLink Power must be operated by qualified personnel only. To ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, mobiLink Power must be used as intended and in accordance with local laws and regulations. See also the User Guide for safety requirements and regulations.
⚠️ Do not use mobiLink Power in explosive atmospheres!
Transport and Maintenance
Periodically wipe the housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents. mobiLink Power does not contain user-serviceable parts. No modifications or repairs on the device are allowed. The operator is responsible for the transportation and maintenance of the product.

This product is CE certified and complies with the standards and requirements indicated by the following marks: CE, FC, HART Communication Protocol, FOUNDATION Fieldbus.
Connection Diagrams
FIELDBUS Connection
Diagram shows the mobiLink Power device connected to a Fieldbus device. The connection uses the FIELDBUS ports and includes a switch and resistor in series with the Fieldbus terminals.
HART Connection
Diagram shows the mobiLink Power device connected to a HART device. The connection uses the HART port and includes a resistor in series with the HART terminals.
