Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of this Audizio product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the unit to fully benefit from all features. Follow the instructions to avoid invalidating the warranty and to prevent fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified technician. Keep the manual for future reference.
Safety Precautions
- Read the manual before use.
- Take precautions to avoid fire and electrical shock.
- Do not open the housing; it contains voltage carrying parts.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the unit.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources or on vibrating surfaces.
- Do not cover ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it.
- Always pull the plug, never the lead, when unplugging.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- If the plug or mains lead is damaged, have it replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged and internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
- Do not connect to a rheostat or dimmer.
- Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
- All repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician.
- Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- Unplug during thunderstorms or if not used for extended periods.
- Allow the unit to reach room temperature before switching on if condensation may have occurred.
- Never use the unit in humid rooms or outdoors.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children and unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays on switches.
- Do not force controls.
- Keep the unit at least 60cm away from computers or TVs due to potential magnetic fields.
- Recharge the battery every 3 months if not in use to prevent permanent damage.
- Replace damaged batteries with the same specifications and dispose of them environmentally.
- Have the unit checked by a qualified technician if dropped.
- Clean only with a dry cloth; do not use chemicals.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Use only original spare parts for repairs.
- Switch off before unplugging and unplug all leads before moving.
- Ensure the mains lead is not damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead before each use.
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz.
- Keep original packing material for safe transport.
- High voltage warning symbol: Indicates high voltages inside the housing that can cause electric shock.
- Important instructions symbol: Indicates important instructions in the manual that must be read and adhered to.
- Operate in rooms with temperatures between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F.
- Dispose of electrical products at recycling centers.

Quick Setup
- Connect the micro-USB cable to the micro-USB port or insert 4 x AAA batteries (not included).
- Connect the other end of the micro-USB cable to a power outlet using a USB power adapter (not included), or to a computer's USB port.
- Pull out the antenna and position it for good reception.
- Turn the radio on by pressing the [POWER] button (for DC power) or by pressing and holding [POWER] (for battery mode). The unit will start in DAB mode and automatically scan for stations.
- In DAB mode, use the [I] or [H+] buttons to navigate stations and press [ENTER] to select.
Source Menu
Press the [SOURCE] button to display the 'Source' menu. Turn and press the [SELECT] dial to switch between input sources:

Listening to Digital or FM Radio
Changing Information Displayed
When listening to digital or FM radio, you can change the information displayed on the screen:
- Digital Radio: Press the Select dial to toggle between Scrolling text, Programme, Channel/frequency, Signal strength/error, Bitrate, or Date. Press and hold [SELECT] to cycle through 'Now playing', full-screen artwork, and program information screens.
- FM Radio: Press the [SELECT] dial to toggle between Scrolling text, Programme type, Frequency, Stereo/Mono, and Date.
Tuning to Stations
- Power: Press the [POWER] button to turn on the DAB Digital Radio.
- Changing DAB Stations: Press [SOURCE], turn and press [SELECT] to choose 'DAB radio'. Use [I] or [H+] for station list, then [SELECT] to choose a station.
- Changing FM Stations: Press [SOURCE] to select 'FM radio'. Press [TUNER+/-] to find a station with a strong signal.
Using Radio Presets
You can store up to 30 digital and 30 FM stations. To store a station, tune to it, hold the [PRESET] button, turn and press [SELECT] to choose a preset number (1-30). To recall a preset, hold [PRESET], turn and press [SELECT] to tune to the selected preset.
Using Auxiliary Input
Connect your phone or tablet via the Aux input. Press [SOURCE], turn and press [SELECT] to choose 'AUX'. Start playback on your device.
Using Bluetooth Input
Wirelessly connect a device like a phone or tablet. You can stream music via Bluetooth.
- Pairing: Press [SOURCE], select 'BT'. On your device, turn on Bluetooth and connect. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000.
- Playback: Use [ENTER] to play/pause, and [I] or [H+] for next/previous track.
- Disconnecting: Switch to another source or turn off Bluetooth on the connected device.
Setting Alarms and Timers
Setting an Alarm
- Press and hold [MENU] to access the main menu.
- Select 'Alarm' by turning and pressing [SELECT].
- Choose 'Alarm 1' or 'Alarm 2'.
- Set 'ON time' by turning and pressing [SELECT] to adjust hours and minutes.
- Set 'Duration' by turning and pressing [SELECT] to set the alarm duration in minutes.
- Select 'Source' (Buzzer, DAB, or FM) by turning and pressing [SELECT].
- If DAB or FM is selected, choose a 'Preset' (Last listened or from preset list).
- Set 'Cycle' (Daily, Once, Weekends, Weekdays) by turning and pressing [SELECT].
- Set 'Volume' by turning and pressing [SELECT].
- Press [SELECT] to turn the alarm 'ON'.
Snoozing an Alarm
Press the [SELECT] dial to snooze. Press [STANDBY] to cancel a sounding alarm or [SOURCE] to cancel and leave the radio on.
Setting the Sleep Timer
- Press [MENU], turn and press [SELECT] to 'System Settings'.
- Turn and press [SELECT] to 'Sleep'.
- Turn and press [SELECT] to adjust the sleep timer duration.
Time and Date Settings
The clock automatically sets using digital or FM radio signals. If it doesn't update, you can set it manually.
Manual Time and Date Setting
- Press and hold [MENU] to view the main menu.
- Select 'System settings' > 'Time'.
- Select 'Set Time/Date'.
- Set the day, month, and year.
- Set the hour and minutes. Ensure AM/PM is selected if using 12-hour format.
Time and Date Synchronization Options
Synchronize time and date with FM or digital radio signals. Select 'System settings' > 'Time' > 'Auto update' and choose your preferred option ('update from Any', 'update from DAB', 'update from FM', 'No Update').
Changing Time Format
Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Time' > 'Set 12/24 hour' to choose between 12 or 24-hour format.
Changing Date Format
Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Time' > 'Set date format' to choose between 'DD-MM-YYYY' and 'MM-DD-YYYY'.
Changing Language
Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Language' to select your preferred menu language.
Backlight Settings
Timeout
Adjust the screen backlight duration before dimming. Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Backlight' > 'Timeout' and select a duration, or choose 'On' for always on.
On Level
Adjust the backlight brightness. Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Backlight' > 'On Level' and choose 'High', 'Medium', or 'Low'.
Dim Level
Adjust the dim level of the backlight. Navigate to 'System settings' > 'Backlight' > 'Dim Level' and choose 'High', 'Medium', or 'Low'.
Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset, navigate to 'System settings' > 'Factory Reset'. Select 'Yes' to confirm or 'No' to cancel.
DAB Settings
DAB settings are only visible when 'DAB' is selected as the radio source.
- Full Scan: Automatically scans for new digital radio stations. Press [SCAN/ENTER] to start.
- Manual Tuning: Check signal strength for a known channel. Navigate to 'Manual tune' and select the channel.
- Dynamic Range Control (DRC): Adjusts the volume of quiet sounds. Options are 'DRC high', 'DRC low', or 'DRC off'.
FM Radio Settings
FM radio settings are only visible when 'FM' is selected as the radio source.
- FM Stereo Option: Choose between 'Stereo Allowed' or 'Forced Mono' for clearer reception.
- FM Scan: Choose to stop at the next available station or only at stations with a strong signal. Navigate to 'Scan Setting' and choose 'Strong Stations Only' or 'All Stations'.
