1. EQUIPMENT – WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

The following items are included in the package:

[Image description: A collection of items laid out, including the camera, lens cap, brass weights, mount, cables, card readers, float, and case.]

2. USER INTERFACE

The camera's user interface can be accessed by removing the cap from the camera housing. Use the lens cap pin or a piece of string to remove the cap by sticking it through the hole in the cap and pulling it. You can also remove the cap by working it free with your hands – wiggle it back and forth until it comes off.

Do not try to remove the cap by using sharp tools such as screwdrivers or knives.

[Diagram description: A circular diagram showing the camera housing with numbered indicators pointing to various parts: 1. Charge indicator light, 2. USB type C port, 3. Rec/Pause button, 4. Micro SD card slot, 5. Guide for stick-on mount, 6. WIFI button, 7. Microphone.]

3. RECORD – HOW TO GET STARTED

3.1. Battery Charging

The battery should only be charged with the supplied charging cable. Insert the cable into the USB type C port and connect to a USB power source. The camera charging indicator light will illuminate while charging. The light switches off when the battery is fully charged.

3.2. Inserting Micro SD Card and Powering On

Insert a Micro SD or Micro SDHD card (preferably 32GB class 10) into the Micro SD card slot, small end first, label facing down.

Power On: To switch the camera on, short press the Rec/Pause button (with an inserted card). Initially, the yellow light will blink three times, followed by a constant light indicating the battery level:

Start Recording

Now, short press the Rec/Pause button to start recording. The indicator light will blink in the battery level color (green, yellow, or red).

Pause Recording

When you short press the Rec/Pause button again, the LED indicator will flash three times and then turn to a constant light (color depends on battery level), indicating that recording has stopped.

Power Off

Long press the Rec/Pause button for 2 seconds to power off. The indicator light will blink three times according to the battery level and then power off.

3.3. Closing the Camera

The camera can be closed by carefully placing the cap on. Ensure the camera is closed properly and completely before use.

Important! When placing the cap on the camera, always ensure the O-shaped seals lay flat. This is crucial for a tight, waterproof seal to prevent water ingress.

[Diagram description: Two illustrations showing the camera cap being placed on the housing. The left illustration shows the correct way, with the O-ring seal flat and aligned. The right illustration shows the incorrect way, with the O-ring seal folded or not flat, leading to a potential leak.]

Useful tip: When the camera is fully charged, align the small triangle on the cap with the "100%" marking on the camera housing. If the battery is dead, turn the small triangle away from the "100%" marking. This helps easily identify battery status, especially if you have multiple cameras.

4. SYSTEM INDICATOR LIGHTS

Power On: Short press the Rec/Pause button (with inserted card). The yellow light blinks three times, followed by a constant light matching the battery level (66%-100%: green; 33%-66%: yellow; Below 33%: red).

Start Recording: Short press the Rec/Pause button. The indicator light blinks in the battery level color (green, yellow, or red).

Pause Recording: Short press the Rec/Pause button again. The LED indicator flashes three times and turns to a constant light (battery level color), indicating recording has stopped.

Power Off: Long press the Rec/Pause button for 2 seconds. The indicator light blinks three times according to battery level and then powers off.

WIFI On/Off: After turning the camera on, short press the WIFI button. The red and green lights will flash alternately. When the phone connection is established, the indicator light flashes green. If the WIFI connection is not established within 1 minute, the camera automatically switches off WIFI and returns to Power On standby mode.

Low battery indication: The indicator light will flash red for 10 seconds before switching off automatically.

Charging: When connected to a charger or computer, the indicator light remains solid red. It turns off when the battery is fully charged.

No card indication: If the camera is switched on without a Micro SD card, the charge indicator light flashes red rapidly ten times.

Card full indication: When you press the Rec/Pause button to start recording, and the system indicator flashes a red light intermittently ten times, the Micro SD card is full.

Card error: In case of a card error, reformat the Micro SD card.

Formatting Micro SD card: If the system indicator flashes red intermittently ten times and the camera shuts down, the Micro SD card is the wrong format or corrupted. Reformat the card to FAT32 on a computer or directly on the camera by long pressing the WIFI button for 5 seconds while the red light is flashing.

Do not remove the SD card while the red light is flashing, as this could damage files.

After formatting, the indicator light will turn red for 1 second, then change to a solid light in the battery level color, indicating successful formatting. If unsuccessful, try another Micro SD card.

WARNING: Formatting will delete all files. Back up files on a computer first, if possible, before formatting.

8 HOW TO MOUNT THE CAMERA

8.1 Mounting for lure fishing

[Diagram description: A diagram illustrating the setup for lure fishing. It shows a main line and a leader, with a bead on a tube. Arrows indicate how to tie the leader to the front eye and the mainline to the rear eye, then pull the bead and insert the camera into the mount.]

a. Tie the leader to the front eye and the mainline to the rear eye. Pull the bead on the tube to the rear eye and insert the camera into the mount.

b. Push the bead on the tube all the way to the mount, locking the camera in place. Pull the wire until the eye is inside the collar.

8.2 Different mounting options

[Diagram description: Three illustrations showing different underwater fishing scenarios with the camera mounted on a fishing line.]

  1. Trolling near the surface with a shallow diving crank bait with the size S brass weight inserted.
  2. Trolling in deep water with a bit bigger, deeper diving crank bait. 12 grams of brass weight is inserted. The camera is mounted in the eye of the spring wire to prevent aggressive wobbling movements causing shaky recordings.
  3. Bottom exploration (e.g., for carp venues) without brass weight.

The distance between the camera and the lure should be between 40 and 100cm (1.5 to 4ft), depending on the water clarity.

9 BRASS WEIGHTS

The small brass weights of 8, 11, and 15 grams provide the camera with a stable path through the water and help balance it.

[Diagram description: Illustrations showing the camera's behavior in water with different brass weights: floating, suspending, slow sinking, and fast sinking.]

10. LENS PROTECTIVE CAP

The Lens protective cap is designed to protect the camera lens during transportation, even when mounted on a fishing rod.

The steel pin with eye allows you to easily remove the cap from the camera. Insert the pin into the dedicated hole, then gently twist and pull. To close the camera again, gently twist and push until completely closed. Note: twisting ensures the O-ring seals stay in place properly and maintain the waterproof seal.

The same metal pin makes it easy to push the brass weights out of the collar.

[Diagram description: An exploded view of the lens cap and a separate component, with arrows indicating how the pin is used to remove the cap.]

14. PLAYING AND EDITING FILES ON PC/MAC

14.1 Playing and editing films on your PC

On a PC, you can play the camera's MOV files in programs like Media Player, Media Player Classic, VLC Player, or QuickTime Player. The files can be edited in freeware such as Movie Maker, Avidemux, VSDC, and so on.

14.2 Playing and editing films on your MAC

On a Mac, the camera's MOV files are played in programs such as QuickTime, VLC Player, and so on. The files can be edited in free programs like iMovie, Avidemux, Lightworks, and so on. Apple has a standard bit-rate for MOV files, so before they can be opened in iMovie or QuickTime, the program must perform calculations on the files, which may take some time.

We recommend that you use VLC Player: www.videolan.org/vlc

15. MAINTENANCE AND CARE

The camera should be rinsed with lukewarm water with the cap mounted after each use. Dry it with a soft, dry cloth (preferably microfiber).

WARNING: Do not use rubbing alcohol or other chemical products to clean the camera, as it might damage the lens!

18. FILMING UNDER WATER / VLC PLAYER

The biggest hindrance in terms of filming underwater is water clarity. To achieve quality video where fish and lure are clearly visible, water visibility must be 1 meter or more. Often, algae and other water sediments, especially in ponds and lakes, will cause diminished water clarity. The deeper the camera probes, the less color will show up in the footage. Furthermore, algae and sediments tend to make recordings greenish. To enhance details on your recordings – if they display unnatural colors or are diffuse – watch them in Sepia* mode. Open the VLC Player menu "Adjustments and effects" and choose "Sepia" in the "Color" menu. This can be done while playing your recorded video back. In VLC Player, it is also possible to see strikes frame by frame. Pause the video by clicking the "Space" button and move to the next frame by clicking "e". You can save screenshots, convert file formats, and cut out video.

Please visit https://wiki.videolan.org/Hotkeys_table/ to see all keyboard shortcuts and learn more about the interface.

*Sepia is a VLC Player function that enhances contrasts and clarity in your footage.
