ZTE G5C Quick Start Guide
Understanding Your Device
This section details the components and indicators of the ZTE G5C device.
- 1. NETWORK Indicator:
- Red solid: Device is not connected to the network, has no nano-SIM card, no network service, or is in an error state.
- Blue solid: Device is connected to a 4G network.
- White solid: Device is connected to a 5G network.
- 2. WIFI Indicator:
- White solid: Wi-Fi is enabled.
- White flashing: WPS is enabled.
- Off: Wi-Fi is disabled.
- 3. POWER Indicator:
- White solid: Device power is working normally.
- Off: Device power is disconnected.
- 4. nano-SIM Card Slot / RESET Hole:
- Insert nano-SIM card here.
- RESET Hole: Press and hold for approximately 3 seconds to restore factory settings.
- 5. Power Interface: Connect the power adapter.
- 6. WAN/LAN Port: Connect to the carrier's broadband service or a computer.
- 7. LAN Port: Connect to a computer.
- 8. WPS Button: Press to activate the WPS function.
Usage Scenarios
Your device supports internet connection via nano-SIM card or home broadband. Once connected, you can use your phone, tablet, or computer to access the internet.

Preparing Your Device
- Obtain a valid nano-SIM card from your carrier.
- Check the label on the bottom of the device for default information.

Installing the nano-SIM Card
When connecting to the internet using a nano-SIM card, insert the nano-SIM card first.

Powering On the Device
The device will automatically turn on after connecting the power adapter.

Connecting to the Device
- Wi-Fi Connection: Find the default SSID on the label and connect your mobile device to the device's Wi-Fi network. No password is required for the initial connection.
- Wired Connection: Use a network cable to connect your computer directly to the device.

Initializing the Device and Connecting to the Internet
The device requires setting a Wi-Fi password and a management page password for initial use. After setting the passwords, the device can connect to the internet.
- After successfully connecting to the device, open a browser and enter the default IP address from the label. The management page will appear.
- Select "I have read and agree to the ZTE Zhongxing Smart Router Privacy Statement" and click "Start".
- On the quick setup page, set the Wi-Fi password and login password. You can also choose to sync the login password to set the same password. Then click "Next".
- After setup is complete, use the newly set Wi-Fi password to connect to the device's Wi-Fi network. You can then use your phone, tablet, or computer to access the internet.
Note: Please remember your new password.
Modifying Settings
You can change the device's default settings by logging into the device management page.
- Check the label on the bottom of the device for the default management page IP address.
- Open a browser and enter the management page IP address in the address bar.
- Enter the password set during initialization and log in.
- Once the management page is open, you can change the default settings.
Bridge Mode Description
The device supports bridge mode, allowing you to connect to the internet using your carrier's services.
- Ensure the device can automatically connect to the internet using your nano-SIM card.
- Log in to the device management page.
- Navigate to Network > Network Mode > Wireless Mode > Bridge Mode, and click Apply. After confirmation, the device will restart automatically.
- Devices connected to the device's WAN/LAN port will obtain an IP address from the internet's DHCP host and connect directly to the internet.
Note: Other client devices connected to this device can access the internet. You can use any client connected to this device to access the device's management page.
Wired Mode Description
The device supports carrier-provided broadband services, allowing you to connect directly to the internet.
- Log in to the device management page.
- Navigate to Network > Network Mode > Wired Mode, and click Apply. After confirmation, the device will restart automatically.
- Connect the carrier's broadband service to the device's WAN/LAN port using a network cable.
- Log in to the management page again, navigate to Network > Wired Network > Connection Mode, and configure the device's wired internet connection based on the carrier's parameter information.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the internet.
Dual-Network Mode Description
The device supports dual-network modes, including Automatic Mode and Hybrid Mode. You can use a nano-SIM card and the carrier's broadband service to connect to the internet.
- Ensure the nano-SIM card is inserted and the carrier's broadband service is connected to the device's WAN/LAN port.
- Log in to the device's management page.
- Navigate to Network > Network Mode > Automatic Mode or Hybrid Mode, and click Apply. After confirmation, the device will restart automatically.
- Automatic Mode: When both wired and wireless networks are connected, the device defaults to using the wired network for internet access. If one network disconnects, the device will automatically switch to the other.
- Hybrid Mode: When both wired and wireless networks are connected, the device uses both connections to improve internet access speed. If one network disconnects, the other will continue to provide internet service.
- Log in to the management page again, navigate to Network > Wired Network > Connection Mode, and configure the device's wired internet connection based on the carrier's parameter information.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the internet.

Network Access Query: You can scan the QR code below, enter the new network access permit digital code (21-digit code) and the device's unique identifier (IMEI on the label) to verify authenticity. Safety Precautions

- Power Adapters: If using a power adapter, purchase one that meets relevant safety standards or is CCC certified.
- Do Not Disassemble: Do not attempt to disassemble the device.
- High Temperature/Electromagnetic Environments: Do not store or use the device near high heat sources (water heaters, microwaves) or strong electromagnetic fields to avoid damage.
- Ventilation: Place the device in a well-ventilated area. Do not cover the device to prevent overheating.
- Sunlight: Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
- Children: Keep the device out of reach of children.
- Indoor Use: Use the device only indoors.
- Cleaning: Clean the device with a soft, anti-static cloth. Do not use chemical or corrosive cleaning agents. Turn off the device before cleaning.
- Environmental Temperature: Recommended operating temperature: -20°C to +55°C. Storage temperature: -40°C to +70°C. Humidity: 5% to 95%.
- Lightning: Avoid using the device during thunderstorms and unplug the power adapter from the wall socket.
- nano-SIM Card Removal: Do not remove the nano-SIM card while the device is powered on, as static electricity may damage the card or cause data loss.

Note: The 'X' indicates that there are no available substitute technologies or components, and it complies with China's "Management Methods for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" regulations.
Environmental Use Period
The diagram shows the environmental use period mark for this model. Some replaceable parts may have a different environmental use period (e.g., battery modules) affixed to them. This environmental use period is only applicable when the product operates under the conditions specified in the product manual.

Warranty Policy
ZTE Corporation provides after-sales service in accordance with China's "Three Guarantees" regulations. The main unit of the wireless data terminal has a warranty period of one year, and the charger has a warranty period of one year. The warranty period starts from the date of invoice issuance.
If the wireless data terminal experiences quality issues within the warranty period, consumers can present the warranty certificate stamped by the dealer and the original invoice to an authorized ZTE service center for free warranty service. The warranty certificate is applicable to wireless data terminals sold legally in mainland China by ZTE Corporation.
Three Guarantees Services include: Return, Exchange, and Repair.
- Within 7 days of purchase, if the product has non-human-induced performance failures, consumers can choose to return or exchange the product at the dealership.
- Within 15 days of purchase, if the product has non-human-induced performance failures, consumers can choose to exchange or get free repair service at a local authorized ZTE service center.
- Within 12 months of purchase, if the product has non-human-induced performance failures, consumers can get free repair service at a local authorized ZTE service center.
Warranty Exclusion Clauses: Warranty service is limited to the effective warranty period under normal use. Non-human-induced faults caused by product quality issues will void the warranty under the following circumstances:
- Unauthorized disassembly or repair by the consumer without ZTE Corporation's permission.
- Use of non-ZTE certified or inappropriate accessories.
- Damage caused by the consumer not following the manual or other improper use, including liquid ingress.
- Damage caused by incorrect testing, maintenance, debugging, or other improper use by the consumer.
- Damage caused by transportation, drops, extrusion, or other force majeure events (e.g., earthquakes, typhoons, floods, tsunamis).
- Absence of a valid "Three Guarantees" certificate and purchase invoice.
- Exceeding the warranty period.
- The "Three Guarantees" certificate does not match the product model or has been altered.
- Other circumstances not covered by warranty as stipulated by law.
