Tips and Advice
Cooking Recommendations
If the oven needs preheating, remove the combination racks and baking sheets from the oven cavity to heat it faster.
The oven has four shelf levels, counted from the bottom of the oven cavity.
The oven features a special system that circulates air and constantly reuses steam. This system makes food soft inside and crispy outside. Cooking time and energy consumption are minimized.
Moisture may condense on the oven or glass doors during cooking. When opening the oven door during operation, always stand at a safe distance from the appliance.
When the oven has cooled down, clean the oven cavity with a damp, soft cloth.
Baking Cakes
Do not open the oven door until 3/4 of the baking time has passed.
If using two baking sheets simultaneously, leave one level free between them.
Cooking Meat and Fish
Let meat rest for about 15 minutes before cutting to allow the juices to redistribute.
To reduce smoke when roasting, add some water to the roasting pan. To prevent smoke condensation, add water each time the water evaporates.
Microwave Recommendations
Place food on the lower microwave glass plate on the oven floor.
Turn or stir food halfway through defrosting and cooking time.
Cover dishes for cooking and warming.
Add a spoon to bottles or glasses when warming drinks for better heat distribution.
Place food in the oven without packaging. Ready meals in packaging can only be placed in the oven if the packaging is microwave-suitable (check packaging information).
Food Preparation in the Microwave
Cook food covered. Only cook uncovered if a crust is desired.
Do not overcook food by setting the power too high or the time too long. Food can dry out, burn, or cause a fire.
The oven is not suitable for cooking eggs in their shells or snails in their shells, as they may burst. Pierce the yolk of fried eggs before warming. Pierce food with skin or shell multiple times before cooking.
Cut vegetables into uniform pieces. Stir liquid food occasionally. Stir food before serving.
After switching off the oven, remove the food and let it stand for a few minutes.
Defrosting in the Microwave
Remove frozen food from packaging and place on a small inverted plate placed on a container to catch defrosting liquid. Alternatively, a defrosting rack or plastic sieve can be used.
Remove thawed pieces one by one. Setting higher microwave power can cook fruit and vegetables without prior defrosting.
Microwave-Suitable Cookware and Materials
Use only microwave-suitable cookware and materials. See table below.

Cleaning and Care
⚠️ WARNING! See chapter Safety Instructions.
Cleaning Instructions
Dampen a soft cloth with warm water and a little mild detergent, and use it to clean the front of the oven. Clean metal surfaces with a cleaning solution. Clean stains with a mild cleaning agent.
Clean the oven cavity after each use. Fat deposits or other food residues could cause a fire. Carefully remove food and grease residues from the oven ceiling.
Do not leave food in the oven for longer than 20 minutes. Dry the oven cavity with a soft cloth after each use.
Accessories
Clean all accessories after each use and let them dry. Dampen a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not clean accessories in the dishwasher.
Do not clean non-stick coated accessories with scouring agents or sharp objects.
Ovens with Stainless Steel or Aluminum Front
Clean the oven door only with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use steel wool, acids, or scouring agents, as they can damage the surfaces. Clean the control panel in the same way.
Cleaning the Door Seal
The door seal must be checked regularly. The door seal is fitted in the frame of the oven cavity. Do not operate the oven if the door seal is damaged. Contact authorized customer service.
Refer to the general cleaning information for details on cleaning the door seal.
Removing Insertable Racks

- Pull the front of the insertable rack away from the side wall.
- Pull the racks out of the rear suspension.
To reinsert the racks, reverse the above steps.
Replacing the Lamp
Place a cloth on the oven floor. This protects the glass cover of the oven lamp and the oven interior.
⚠️ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Switch off the fuse before replacing the lamp. The lamp and the glass cover can become hot.
Caution! Always handle halogen lamps with a cloth to avoid burning grease (fingerprints).
- Switch off the oven.
- Remove the fuses from the fuse box or switch off the circuit breaker.
- Turn the glass cover of the lamp counter-clockwise to remove it.
- Clean the glass cover.
- Replace the oven lamp with a 25 W, 230 V (50 Hz), 300 °C heat-resistant oven lamp (socket: G9).

Saving Energy
The oven has functions that help you save energy during daily cooking.
General Tips
Ensure the oven door is properly closed during operation. Do not open the appliance door too often during the cooking process. Keep the door seal clean and ensure it is firmly in the correct position.
Use metal cookware to save more energy, but only if you are not using a microwave function.
If possible, do not preheat the oven before placing food inside.
If the cooking time is longer than 30 minutes, reduce the oven temperature by 3-10 minutes before the end of the cooking time to the minimum temperature. The residual heat of the oven will continue to cook the food.
Use residual heat to warm up other dishes.
Keep interruptions as short as possible when baking multiple items simultaneously.
Cooking with Hot Air
If possible, use hot air cooking functions to save energy.
Residual Heat
The heating elements are switched off automatically earlier for programs with activated Duration or End options and a cooking time longer than 30 minutes for some oven functions.
The fan and lamp remain switched on.
Keeping Food Warm
Select the lowest temperature setting when using residual heat to keep food warm. The residual heat indicator or temperature is shown on the display.
Cooking with Oven Light Off
Switch off the light during the cooking process. Only switch it on when needed.
