MX 100 Solar Panel Replacement Guide
LEVEL 4
Replacement Procedure
Disconnect solar connector and then battery connector(s).
Diagram Description: A close-up view of a circuit board with multiple connectors and labels such as SYNC.1-1, STAT.2, 12V+ 3-R, OTHER MODU, SIM, INPUT, ALARM (5A MAX.), 12V OUT, -STATUS, and HOLD TO PAIR. Arrows indicate the disconnection of two specific connectors.
Drill out four rivets securing the solar panel assembly to the MX 100 chassis, using a 0.161" drill bit.
Diagram Description: An illustration showing a drill bit being used to remove rivets that attach the solar panel assembly to the main chassis of the MX 100 unit.
Ensure all rivets have been cleared from mounting holes and all metal debris has been removed from the MX 100 chassis.
Fit the replacement MX 100 solar panel assembly in the same manner using the included rivets.
Diagram Description: An illustration depicting the new solar panel assembly being aligned with the MX 100 chassis, ready for attachment with rivets.
Ensure rivets protrude completely through the MX 100 chassis before riveting.
Ensure the housing flange is between the lid flange and hinge.
Note: Ensure housing flange is between hinge leaf and lid flange before riveting.
Reconnect battery connector(s).
Ensure you have enough slack with the solar harness and reconnect to the circuit board.
Diagram Description: A close-up view of the circuit board connectors, similar to step 1, showing the solar harness being reconnected.
Close, latch, and lock the MX 100 unit.
Note: Check MX Field App to ensure the solar panel is producing suitable voltage.
