WHAT'S IN THE BOX Smart Garage Controller 3M Sticker Wire Holders Zip Ties Sensor Mounting Bracket Screws / Blots / Nuts COMPATIBILITY CHECK Verify the Smart Garage Door Controller works with your garage door 1. Look for your garage door on the included "Garage Door Compatibility Guide". Ø Garage door openers with yellow / purple learn buttons will likely NOT work. 2. Manually ensure your garage door opener is compatible with the Smart Garage Door Controller. Ø Follow the wires from the wall mounted garage controller to your garage door opener. Ø Where the wall mounted garage door controller wires connect to the opener, use a needle nose plier or paperclip to touch the two garage door terminals together. l If the garage door opens or closes, the Smart Garage Door Controller is compatible with your garage door opener; these will be the terminals the Smart Garage Door Controller will plug into. INSTALLATION 1. Check your Wi-Fi Ø Check the Wi-Fi signal in the garage, where the Smart Garage Controller will be mounted 4 to 5 feet away from the garage door opener. 2. Power up your device Ø Find a convenient location and power the Smart Garage Controller by plugging it in. The blue LED will start blinking. 3. Download the APP Ø Install "Smart Life" app on your mobile phone from Apple app store or Google Play store. Add Controller Device in the APP 1. Launch the app and tap the Plus ( + ) in the top right corner to add a door sensor device. 2. 3. 4. Select Add manually, Electrician, then Garage Door Opener. Add Controller Device in the APP 5. Choose your Wi-Fi network and Enter the password. Then tap Next. 6. IMPORTANT !!! Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the Controller Device until the light is SLOWLY blinking (2s/time). Ø Tap the "EZ Mode" on the top right corner, change to "AP Mode". Ø Select "Confirm indicator slowly blink" at the bottomtap Next. Add Controller Device in the APP 7. Tab Go to Connect. 8. Select WLAN on your mobile phone setting. Add Controller Device in the APP 9. Choose SmartLife-XXXX network on the WLAN setting. 10. Switch back to Smart Life app when WLAN is successfully connected to SmartLife-XXXX network. Add Controller Device in the APP 11. It will show Adding device on the Smart Life App. 12. Now your Controller Device is successfully added. Tab Done. Install the Controller Device to the garage opener 1. STEP 1 : Connect Controller to Opener Ø Locate the 2 exposed wires coming out of the Controller. Ø Insert the 2 exposed wires into the terminals on the back of your Garage Door Opener. 2. STEP 2 : Install the Sensor Ø The sensor has 2 parts. Both sensor parts must be mounted parallel to each other, and they must be 3 15 mm apart, not touching.
