Caution: Turn off power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation. Matter Made recommends the Discus Vine 8 be installed by a qualified electrician. Carefully remove the Discus Vine 8 from the packaging and lay flat on a protected surface. Attach the threaded nipple (A) into the top of the fixture. Step 2. 2. Slide the slip ring (C) over the drop and tighten the set screw using the hex key (D). Slide the canopy over the drop and rest it on the slip ring. Step 4. 4. Attach the crossbar (F), lock washer (G), and hex nut (H) to the nipple on the top of the drop. Tighten the hex nut with a wrench. Step 6. 6. Lift the fixture toward the ceiling. Using the provided wire nuts, connect the following pairs of wires from the junction box to the driver: - Connect the AC live wire from the junction box to the AC live wire of the driver (J) - Connect the AC neutral wire from the junction box to the AC live wire of the driver (J) - Connect the red wire (Vo+) from the fixture to the red wire (Vo+) of the driver (K) - Connect the black wire (Vo-) from the fixture to the black wire (Vo-) of the driver (K) - Connect the DIM+ wire from the junction box to the DIM+ wire of the driver (L) - Connect the DIM- wire from the junction box to the DIM- wire of the driver (L) - Connect the ground wire from the junction box to the bare copper wire attached to the crossbar (M) +1 212 343 2600 mattermade.us sales@mattermade.us Discus Vine 8 Installation Guide Step 8. 8. Lift the canopy toward the ceiling and carefully tuck the wires and driver into the canopy. Using the hex key (N), loosen the slip ring set screw (O) and raise the slip ring towards the canopy. Retighten the set screw to secure the slip ring and canopy. 8. Turn on the power and test switch and dimming function. Installation is now complete.
