Fieldpiece Wireless Refrigerant Scale OPERATOR'S MANUAL Model SR47 Quick Start 1 Install the 9V battery into the remote display and 6 x AA batteries into the platform. 2 Press for 1 second to turn on the platform. 3 Press for 1 second to turn on the display. 4 Read weight directly on the display. 01 02 Description High capacity and rugged, the SR47 Wireless Refrigerant Scale combines best in class wireless electronics and rugged materials to perform at the high level you demand. The platform is made of thick aluminum to maintain accuracy over the life of the product. Integrated rubber pad and bumpers protect the platform from impacts and accommodate large tanks. Electronics are sealed to block moisture from rain and splashes. The dual magnetic folding back mounts firmly to a condenser or anything metallic for easy display viewing. View weights directly in the Fieldpiece Job Link® system mobile app or with your Fieldpiece digital manifold. Log and document refrigerant use in-app to comply with new standards (EPA Section 608). Maintenance CLEANING: Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. BATTERIES: The batteries in the remote or platform must be replaced when its battery life indicator on the remote is empty. Remove rear battery cover and replace. 03 Buttons Press for 1 second to power the platform on/off. Press for 1 second to power the remote on/off. Tap for backlight. Press for 1 second to tare tank for charging and recovering refrigerant. Press for 1 second to zero. No weight should be on platform. Tap to change units. Placing items over 252 lbs on the scale may damage the scale. 1 Remove the scale from the padded case and place the platform on solid, level ground. 2 Press for 1 second to turn on the platform. 3 Press for 1 second to turn on the display. 4 Press ZERO for 1 second to zero out the scale. 5 Set your tank on the platform and press TARE for 1 second to view only the change in refrigerant. 6 View the change in weight in real-time when charging or recovering refrigerant. Backlight Tap to turn on the blue backlight on the LCD. This is useful when the sun is going down on late day jobs or any dark situation. The backlight uses extra battery power than standard use. 06 Auto Power Off (APO) If the weight is unchanged for 30 minutes, the platform will automatically power off. To disable APO, while power is on tap twice on the platform. The LED will briefly blink red and APO will not be shown on the display. To enable APO, while power is on tap twice on the platform. The LED will briefly shine red and APO will be shown on the display. Syncing a Display to a Platform The included remote display is setup to view the platform at the factory. You shouldn't ever need to re-sync them. You can sync two SR47 remote displays to a single SR47 platform if desired. 1 Press and hold UNITS button for 1 second. 2 The ID# of a detected platform will show. (This ID# is printed on the platform.) 3 Tap UNITS button to cycle through any other platforms detected. 4 Press and hold UNITS button for 1 second to select a platform. Using the Job Link® system app and SMAN digital manifold as a display: Link the SR47 to app or manifold to use as display. 07 Tech Tips Respect the Environment Always use hoses with ball valves or low-loss fittings to minimize harmful refrigerant gases entering the atmosphere. Account for Your Hose Weight Connect the hoses to the system and tank before zeroing the scale. After charge/recovery is finished and the system is stable, note the weight before removing hoses. Use your Appropriate G-Value Acceleration due to gravity in m/s2 (G-Value) varies slightly depending on your altitude and location. Here are few cities' examples: Los Angeles (default) 9.796 New York City 9.802 Paris 9.809 Sydney 9.797 Denver 9.798 1 Hold UNITS while powering on display. 2 With the current G-Value showing, tap TARE and to scroll up and down respectively. 3 Tap UNITS to save and exit. 08 Limited Warranty This scale is warranted against defects in material or workmanship for one year from date of purchase from an authorized Fieldpiece dealer. Fieldpiece will replace or repair the defective unit, at its option, subject to verification of the defect. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from abuse, neglect, accident, unauthorized repair, alteration, or unreasonable use of the instrument. Any implied warranties arising from the sale of a Fieldpiece product, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the above.
