Quick Sets
The camera offers several preset configurations for quick use:

To select a Quick Set, slide the power switch to the desired setting (Q1, Q2, Q3, or CUSTOM).
Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment door at the bottom of the camera by pulling the latch.
- Drop the battery tray by sliding the orange EJECT latch to the left.
- Insert batteries as indicated in the diagram.
Note: Do not mix old and new batteries, or mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.
SD Card Installation
- Load an SD memory card (up to 32GB) into the SD card slot with the notch going in first and the metal pins facing you.
Important: Ensure the camera is powered off before installing or removing an SD card. If using an SD card from other cameras, format it on your computer before use. New cards are ready to use out of the package.
A "No SD card" message will appear after power-up if the card is missing or corrupted.
Power
ON: Slide the power switch down to a QSET or CUSTOM setting.
OFF: Slide the power switch all the way up.
After powering on, check the battery level icon to ensure the batteries have adequate charge.
DATE/TIME Settings
- Press MENU, then ENTER to set the DAY.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the Day, then press ENTER to advance to the MONTH.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the MONTH, then press ENTER to advance to the YEAR.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the YEAR, then press ENTER to confirm.
- To set the time, use the arrow buttons until HOUR MIN is displayed. Press ENTER to set the HOUR.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the HOUR, then press ENTER to advance to the MIN.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the MIN, then press ENTER to advance to AM/PM.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust AM/PM, then press ENTER to confirm.
CUSTOM Settings
- The power switch must be set to CUSTOM to edit settings.
- To switch between PHOTO and VIDEO modes, press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until MODE appears, then press ENTER.
- The current setting will flash. Use the arrow buttons to switch between PHOTO and VIDEO, then press ENTER to confirm.
Image Display Options:
- A - Time
- B - Date
- C - Moon Phase
- D - Photo Count
Photo Settings
- PHOTO BURST: Press MENU, navigate to BURST, press ENTER. Use arrow buttons to select 1-3 photos per trigger.
- DELAY: Press MENU, navigate to DELAY, press ENTER. Use arrow buttons to select a delay of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 seconds between photos.
- RESOLUTION: Press MENU, navigate to RES, press ENTER. Use arrow buttons to select photo resolution (4, 8, or 16MP).
Video Settings
- VIDEO LENGTH: Press MENU, navigate to BURST, press ENTER. Use arrow buttons to choose video length (5, 10, or 20 seconds).
- VIDEO DELAY: Press MENU, navigate to DELAY, press ENTER. Use arrow buttons to select a delay of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 seconds between videos.
Ready Mode
After 30 seconds of inactivity, the LCD will turn off, and the camera enters Ready Mode. The LCD can be awakened by pressing any button. Note: The LCD will not wake up while the camera is writing to memory.
Test Mode
LED Status Light: During the first 3 minutes of Ready Mode, a red light illuminates when the camera detects movement. After 3 minutes, all indicator lights turn off until a button is pressed.
Mounting
To mount to a tree, remove the clip from one end of the strap. Slide the strap through the slots on the back of the camera. Reattach the clip. Wrap the strap around the tree and clip the ends together. Tighten the strap to secure the camera.
Important Tips:
- Recommended distance: 25-30 feet for optimal image quality.
- Avoid mounting the unit facing the rising or setting sun to prevent direct sunlight into the lens.
- In dusty environments or on feeders, regularly clean the camera lens cover, flash cover, and PIR sensor cover.
- Periodically check the mounting to ensure it is secure.
- Ensure the battery compartment door is securely latched to maintain the moisture seal.
- Check batteries frequently to prevent corrosive build-up.
Retrieving Images (SD Card Reader)
- Remove the SD card from the camera by pressing it until it ejects.
- Insert the SD card into an SD card reader. Refer to your card reader's manual for viewing files.
Alternatively, use the WGI SD Card Reader for Apple or Android with the WGI Huntsmart app to access and upload photos to the cloud.
Format SD Card
Using the Camera: Press and hold the MENU button while in CUSTOM Quick Set. ERASE will appear in the upper corner. Press ENTER, then use arrow keys until a blinking Y appears. Press ENTER to confirm. The screen will display 'n' upon completion.
Warning: Formatting the SD card will delete all files on it.
Note: SDXC CARDS ARE NOT SUPPORTED.
Using a Computer:
- Connect the SD card to your computer (use an adapter for MicroSD cards if needed). Use an external USB card reader if your computer lacks an SD card slot.
- Open File Explorer (Windows) by pressing Win + E.
- Right-click the drive letter for your memory device and select "Format."
- Ensure FAT32 is selected under "File System."
- Ensure "Quick Format" is checked.
- Click "Start."
Limited Warranty
Wildgame Innovations scouting cameras are covered by a 365-day limited warranty on parts and labor from the original purchase date through an authorized dealer. The warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials but excludes damage from abuse or misuse. Purchases from unauthorized sellers (e.g., eBay) void the warranty.
Product registration with Wildgame Innovations (via web, email, or phone) and a proof of purchase receipt are required for factory reset options. Tampering or unauthorized service voids the warranty. A copy of the original sales receipt and a Return Authorization (RA) number obtained from customer service (877-269-8490) are required for warranty service. Wildgame Innovations is not responsible for lost packages without an RA number.
