Brita® Trademark Usage Guidelines
The Brita® trademark and logo are critical elements of Brita, LP's identity, conveying commitment to the environment and high-quality drinking water. These guidelines apply to customers of Brita® Hydration Station™ units and Brita® filters. Use of Brita® Marks is authorized provided you:
- Continue to use and replace Brita® filters as instructed.
- Maintain the product appropriately.
- Do not disparage Brita, LP or its products.
- Do not imply a false association with Brita, LP.
- Adhere to these Trademark Usage Guidelines.
Improper use may violate these guidelines. For questions, contact Haws Corporation at 888-909-4297.

General Operation
To dispense water:
- Approach the unit with a bottle or container.
- Place the bottle in the opening and move it upward towards the sensor.
- When the sensor detects the bottle, a blue LED light activates to help position the bottle under the nozzle.
- After a slight delay, water dispenses.
- When the bottle is filled, lower it from the sensor to stop the water flow.
Activation/Deactivation: The unit is activated by moving the bottle upwards into the opening and deactivated by moving it downwards and outwards. There is a 30-second shut-off feature to prevent needless dispensing.
Filter Status Indicators (LED):
The LED light to the right of the sensor indicates filter status:
- Flashing Green: Filter is working properly.
- Blinking Yellow: Filter life is at 10% remaining (change recommended).
- Blinking Red: Filter has reached end of life (change necessary). The unit will not dispense water until the filter is replaced.
Periods of Inactivity
If the unit is not used for an extended period, it is advisable to replace the filter cartridge when it is put back into service.
Water Quality
The Brita® Hydration Station™ is not intended to purify water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection. Consult a doctor or health officials for advice on water of special microbiological purity.
Maintenance
WARNING: Disconnect power before servicing. Do not touch circuit boards.
CAUTION: Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths.
Filter Replacement
Contact Haws customer service (1-888-909-4297) or visit www.BritaHydrationStation.com for replacements. Keep at least one spare filter on hand.
Replace the filter if:
- The filter LED begins to blink yellow or red.
- One year has elapsed since installation.
- Water output decreases.
To Open the Unit: Use the supplied hex key or a small slotted screwdriver. Insert into the notch on the left side of the hinged upper panel and press firmly. This disengages the latch. Pull the panel open. Be careful not to damage the panel or latch. Opening the panel cuts power to the sensor and solenoid valve.
Filter Replacement Procedure:
- Disconnect the old filter cartridge's wiring and unscrew it.
- Screw the new cartridge firmly into the filter head and connect its wiring.
- After closing the panel, the filter status LED should flash green. If not, consult the Troubleshooting Guide.
- Run approximately five gallons of water through the system to flush carbon particles and air bubbles.
- Inspect for leaks and close the unit.
Note: Water supply does not need to be shut off for filter replacement, unless the filter head will be left without a cartridge for an extended period.
Drain Basin & Cleanliness
To remove the drain basin, grasp and pull it straight out. Ensure it is fully seated when reinserted.
It is recommended to clean and disinfect the drain basin regularly using a solution of ¼ cup Clorox® Regular Bleach mixed with 1 gallon of water. Pour the solution into the basin, let stand for 5 minutes, then flush with water and air dry.
To access the drain basin, open the hinged upper panel and remove the drain grate.
The rest of the unit can be cleaned with a mild sanitizing cleaner, such as Clorox® Anywhere® Hard Surface™ Daily Sanitizing Spray.
