Thank you for purchasing our FINDER! Before starting, please read the instructions carefully before using the FINDER for the first time. Keep this user manual in a safe place for future reference.
1.1 Scope of Delivery
Your delivery will include:
- PAJ VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0
- Wiring harness
- Quickstart flyer
- M2M SIM card*
*The M2M SIM card is already inside your FINDER and is not replaceable.

1.2 Product Description

NOTE! To activate, you need the device ID. Please make a note of it before installing your FINDER!

1.3 Activation
To use your VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0, you must activate it online. Visit the following link and follow the instructions: start.finder-portal.com
The activation process involves three steps:
- Select Runtime: Choose a suitable subscription for your FINDER.
- Register FINDER: Enter the identification of your FINDER.
- FINDER App: Download the PAJ GPS Finder App from the App Store or Google Play.
QR codes are provided for downloading the app.
1.4 Connection to Vehicle
Please note the following points before connecting to the vehicle:
- The SIM card is already placed in the VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0.
- Do not attach the VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0 to gasoline lines or other flammable components.
- Ensure no other components on your vehicle are damaged during attachment.
- Connecting the VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0 to the vehicle battery may discharge it. If you use your vehicle regularly, a functioning battery will recharge it. In idle state, the FINDER requires approximately 10-20 mAh. If the vehicle is not used frequently, check for battery discharge protection.
NOTE! Always observe the manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle. Claims for damages due to improper connections are excluded.
1.5 Installation
Follow these steps for installation:
- Mount the FINDER using the adhesive strip in the engine compartment.
- Connect the FINDER via the black plug to the wiring harness.
- Connect the FINDER to the vehicle battery: Connect the red cable with the fuse to the POSITIVE (+) terminal and the black cable to the NEGATIVE (-) terminal.
1.6 Start-up
If activation was successful, you can start the VEHICLE Finder 4G 2.0. The FINDER will switch on when connected to the power supply.
NOTE! After installation, it is advisable to drive the vehicle for a short period (e.g., to go shopping). This helps the device log into the correct network faster and establish an initial connection.
Diagram shows the connection of the red and black cables to the vehicle battery terminals (+ and -). A warning states: [WARNING] The poles must not be swapped under any circumstances.
1.7 Use
Once your device is activated and has sent data, you can track it using your phone, tablet, or PC. Access tracking via the PAJ GPS Finder App or the desktop version at v2.finder-portal.com.

1.8 Standby Mode and Location Update
By default, the device sends its position to the FINDER portal every 30 seconds. When the FINDER is stationary for a few minutes, it enters standby mode to save power, suspending location updates. The standby mode is indicated in the FINDER portal.
While in standby mode, the device still sends alarm messages. The portal displays data from the last position before standby. When the FINDER is moved again, it automatically switches to active mode and sends its position every 30 seconds.
If the FINDER remains in standby mode for an extended period, it will send a new position at least every 24-26 hours.
1.9 Short Description FINDER-Portal
The FINDER-Portal interface allows you to:
- Application Menu: View statistics, device settings, application settings, alert summary, and extra features like the logbook.
- Alert Notifications: View unread notifications.
- PAJ Logo: Update the page or refresh data.
- Device List: Overview of devices, alert settings, travelled routes, and customization options.
- Options: Configure map view settings.

1.10 Meaning of the LED Lights
Orange LED - Network:
- On: Signal available
- Flashes: No signal available
- Off: GPS tracker is in standby mode or switched off
Blue LED - GPS Status:
- On: GPS signal available
- Flashes: No GPS signal available
- Off: GPS tracker is in standby mode or switched off
NOTE! The LED lights are designed to be faint to discreetly protect vehicles from theft and may be hard to spot in daylight.
1.11 Alerts
Alerts must be activated and deactivated via the FINDER-Portal. Notifications are received via the PAJ App and/or email.
- Movement/Shock Alert: Receive a notification when the GPS tracker is moved or shaken.
- Geofence Alert: Receive a notification when the GPS tracker leaves a defined perimeter.
- Speed Alert: Receive a notification when a set speed limit is exceeded.
- Ignition Alert: Receive a notification when the vehicle's ignition is started or turned off.
- Voltage Alert: Receive a notification when the vehicle battery voltage deviates from a set threshold.
- Power Cut Alert: Receive a notification when the GPS tracker is disconnected from the external power supply.

1.13 Safety Instructions

[WARNING!] This classifies a hazard of medium risk level. Failure to comply with the warning may result in serious injury.
Proper Use: Please read these safety instructions carefully before using the PAJ FINDER. The intended use is to locate objects or living beings. Monitoring third parties without consent is a criminal offense. Improper use can lead to damage or personal injury. The GPS tracker is not a toy for children. Be aware of local laws regarding digital positioning.
[NOTE!] The manufacturer and dealer accept no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
Safety:
[WARNING!] RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Ensure mains voltage matches the type plate.
- Connect the power supply unit where it is easily accessible for quick disconnection.
- Do not use if the GPS tracker or charging cable is visibly damaged.
- Use only original charging accessories.
- Keep away from open fires or hot surfaces.
- The GPS tracker is not protected against humidity and water; use and store in a dry environment.
- The charging cable is for indoor use only; keep away from humidity and do not kink.
- Do not open the housing; repairs should be done by qualified specialists. Incorrect repairs void liability and warranty.
Hazards for Children and Vulnerable People:

- People with limited physical, sensory, or mental abilities should only use the GPS tracker under supervision and with prior instruction.
- Ensure children do not play with small parts, as they may be swallowed, leading to suffocation.
[NOTE!] Inform children about the dangers and proper use of the GPS tracker.
The Battery:
[WARNING!] EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD!
- The GPS tracker contains a non-exchangeable lithium-ion battery. Do not remove or open it.
- Keep the device away from heat sources and high temperatures (e.g., direct sunlight) to prevent destruction, overheating, explosion, or fire.
- Use only original accessories for charging.
- Do not burn, pierce, or subject the GPS tracker to mechanical damage.
- Seek immediate medical attention if a child swallows the battery.
Removing or Replacing the Battery: Contact PAJ GPS support. The machine must be sent in for battery service.
[NOTE!] Failure to comply with warnings and instructions may result in damage, personal injury, or compromise the unit's safety. PAJ GPS is not liable for such damages.
[WARNING!] RISK OF CHEMICAL BURNS! Batteries that leak due to damage can cause burns. Never open the battery. If a leak occurs, wear protective gloves.
Electromagnetic Compatibility: Switch off the GPS tracker in danger areas or if it might cause interference. Avoid use near medical equipment, fuels, chemicals, or in blasting areas. Strong magnetic fields may affect transmission.
[NOTE!] Failure to observe these recommendations may result in malfunctions or damage to the GPS tracker.
Cleaning
[WARNING!] RISK OF DAMAGE!
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes, or metallic objects for cleaning.
- Never immerse the GPS tracker in water, a dishwasher, or use a steam cleaner.
Correct Cleaning: Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it completely.
Storage: If not using the tracker for an extended period, turn it off. Store it in its original packaging or a similar carton, protected from dirt and humidity.
[NOTE!] Keep the FINDER out of reach of children to prevent damage or injury.
1.14 Disposal of Used Batteries
This note is for end-users of batteries or products with built-in batteries.
Free Recall of Used Batteries: Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Return used batteries to a local collection point or retailer for proper disposal. PAJ UG accepts used batteries of types it carries.

Meaning of the Battery Symbols: Batteries are marked with a symbol of a crossed-out dustbin (?️), indicating they should not be disposed of in household waste. Batteries containing specific amounts of mercury, cadmium, or lead are also marked with the chemical name of the pollutant.
1.15 Disposal of Electric Devices
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) sets requirements for handling electrical and electronic equipment.
- Separate Collection of WEEE: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) must be disposed of separately from unsorted waste, not in household waste, but in special collection systems.
- Batteries and Accumulators: Spent batteries and accumulators must be separated from WEEE before handover, unless the WEEE is handed over to public waste management authorities that handle separation.
- Options for Returning Old Appliances (WEEE): Owners can hand in WEEE to public waste management authorities or manufacturer/distributor collection points. An online directory is available at ear-system.de.
- Data Protection: Ensure sensitive personal data is deleted from old equipment before disposal.
- Meaning of the "Crossed-out Dustbin" Symbol: This symbol (?️) indicates the device must be separated from unsorted local waste at the end of its service life.
