Instructions for Integrating my-PV AC•THOR® or AC ELWA®-E with GoodWe Inverters

1. Default Settings on AC•THOR or AC ELWA-E

Before commissioning, read the assembly instructions accompanying the device, as well as the operating instructions available online.

2. Communication of AC•THOR or AC ELWA-E with GoodWe

AC•THOR or AC ELWA-E are connected to GoodWe in the network via a router. Within this network, the device receives information about photovoltaic surplus from the "LAN module" on the GoodWe inverter. The latest firmware must be active on the LAN module.

GoodWe Wi-Fi module cannot be used! ❌

Do not connect my-PV device directly to the inverter or battery system! ❌

When controlled by an inverter, a feed-in meter is required in the system. Otherwise, the query of the inverter does not provide any data. ⚠️

3. Settings on GoodWe Inverter (LAN-Module)

No special settings are required on the GoodWe inverter; the correct connection of the LAN module is crucial. Modbus TCP communication is automatically activated when the inverter is connected.

Follow the instructions in the GoodWe installation manual.

When communicating with GoodWe, the IP address of the inverter must not change during operation (e.g., via a DHCP router), otherwise, the AC•THOR or the AC ELWA-E will lose the control signal! ⚠️

4. Settings on AC•THOR or AC ELWA-E

For AC•THOR: Select "GoodWe Manual" for the control type, either on the device display or via the web interface. The IP address of the signal source must then be statically entered on the display under "Ctrl IP".

Alternatively, these settings can be configured via the AC•THOR web interface. In the web setup, the parameters "Device ID" and "Device Port" can also be set. For "GoodWe Manual" control, my-PV presets Device ID to 247 and Device Port to 502.

For AC ELWA-E: Configuration is exclusively possible via the web setup.

The following "Control Settings" are relevant:

"Power timeout" is not to be changed.

If there is a battery storage system that needs to be charged on priority, then the "Control Target" should be left at -290 W. Otherwise, my-PV recommends using -50 W.
