How to Set Up Sony SRG-A12 NDI Camera for Zoom Rooms
- Download and install NDI Tools from NDI (https://ndi.video/tools/#download).
- Ensure the Sony SRG-A12 and your computer are connected to the same network.
- Open NDI Tools. Click to launch Studio Monitor. Select Sony SRG-A12 from the hamburger menu. This will enable you to control the camera and see the live view.
NDI Tools Interface
The NDI Tools application displays a launcher with various tools. Clicking 'Studio Monitor' opens a window where you can select your camera.
Studio Monitor View: The Studio Monitor shows a list of available NDI sources. You can select your camera (e.g., SRG-A40-09100050) from the dropdown menu. Options include 'None', 'Settings', 'Help', and a link to 'ndi.video'.
Webcam Setup
- Return to NDI Tools. Click to launch Webcam. Click the 'Show Hidden Icons' arrow on the taskbar and select Webcam. Follow the steps pictured to locate Sony SRG-A12.
Taskbar Icons: The system tray shows various application icons. One of these is for NDI Webcam. Clicking the up arrow reveals hidden icons. The NDI Webcam interface allows selection of video sources.
NDI Webcam Source Selection: Within the NDI Webcam settings, you can choose your camera source. The image shows options like 'NDI-HOX (IPDEV-001)' and 'NDI HX (NDI-1542)'. There is also an option to 'Click here to change settings'.
Zoom Rooms Configuration
- Open Zoom Rooms. Go to Settings, then select the Video Tab. Select NDI Webcam Video as the Zoom Rooms camera.
- Test your camera. Start a Video and you should be able to see your camera's live view.
Final Step: Install NDI Tools, launch Webcam, and select NDI Webcam Video as the Zoom Rooms camera.
