The smart plug features an On/Off Button. Pressing and holding the button for a long time restores it to factory settings. The indicator light status is as follows:

• [light blue]: Turn on
• [light off]: Turn off
• [rapid blink] blue light: EZ Mode
• [slowly blink] blue light: AP Mode

1. Preparation Content

Before adding the smart plug, ensure you have the following:

• AvatarControls APP (also compatible with the "smart life" app)
• An AvatarControls APP account (users need to register their own account).
• The smart plug itself.
• Your smartphone's Bluetooth enabled.
• Your smartphone's GPS enabled (required for Auto Scan method).
• A 2.4 GHz WiFi environment (ensure 5GHz is turned off during setup).

2. Add Device

Follow these steps to add your smart plug to the AvatarControls app.

2.1. Download AvatarControls APP

Please download the AvatarControls APP first. It is available on the App Store and Android Market. You can also scan the provided QR code to download the app.

After downloading, open the app and proceed to the registration page.

2.2. Register an Account

On the registration page, select your region and enter your email address to create a new account. You will need to obtain a verification code and agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Once your account is successfully registered, you can proceed to add devices.

2.3. Add Devices (Smart Plug)

Method 1 - Add Manually:

1. Confirm that your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Log in to the Avatar Controls app and tap the '+' icon.
3. Tap "Go to add" to initiate the device addition process.
4. Tap the '+' icon again.
5. Enter your Wi-Fi password. Ensure it is for a 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
6. The message "Device added successfully" will be displayed upon completion.

The app interface will guide you through selecting the device, entering Wi-Fi credentials, and confirming the connection process.

Method 2 - Auto Scan:

1. Confirm that your smartphone's Bluetooth and GPS are enabled.
2. Log in to the Avatar Controls app and tap the '+' icon.
3. Tap "Auto Scan" to begin scanning for available devices.
4. Enter your Wi-Fi password. Ensure it is for a 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
5. The message "Device added successfully" will be displayed upon completion.

During the scanning process, the app may request permissions for scanning nearby Wi-Fi devices, including location access, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. This data is used solely for device scanning and is not recorded.

2.4. Rename the Device

After the device has been successfully added, you can rename it by tapping on the device name within the app. It is recommended to use device names with easy pronunciation in English, as some voice assistants (such as Amazon Echo) may have temporary limitations and only support English names.

Multiple devices can be added and renamed by following these procedures.

Support 3rd-Party Connect [Alexa & Google Home]

Enhance your smart plug's functionality by connecting it to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.

To connect with Amazon Alexa:

1. Navigate to the device control panel within the AvatarControls app and tap the edit menu.
2. Select the desired third-party application, in this case, Alexa.
3. Sign in using your Amazon Alexa account credentials.

Linking your app account to your Amazon account enables control of Alexa-enabled devices via Amazon Echo speakers (e.g., by saying, "Alexa, turn on light.").

To connect with Google Assistant:

1. Navigate to the device control panel within the AvatarControls app and tap the edit menu.
2. Select the desired third-party application, in this case, Google Assistant.
3. Sign in using your Google Home account credentials.

Once your app account and Google account are connected, you can utilize Google Home Smart Speakers to manage devices compatible with Google Assistant. For instance, you can command, "OK Google, please turn on the light."
