Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the Somfy Ysia TDBU HP Zigbee remote control, a device designed for smart home automation, compatible with Somfy motors. It can be operated with or without a TaHoma Box.
Key Features and Components (Figure [A])
The remote control features the following components:
- (a) Feedback LED: Indicates device status.
- (b) Joystick One: A rocker control for moving the upper/middle bar of the motorized product UP/DOWN.
- (c) Stop/my Button: Press once to stop the motorized product. Press twice consecutively to move it to a preferred position. Press and hold for 5 seconds to save or delete the preferred position.
- (d) Joystick Two: A rocker control for moving the lower bar of the motorized product UP/DOWN.
- (e) Lock Function Button: Press to enable simultaneous movement of both bars using the joysticks. This function deactivates after 5 seconds.
- (f) Selected Channel Feedback LED: Indicates the selected channel or group.
- (g) Channel Selector: Used to select the desired channel or group.
- (h) PROG Button: Programming button.
- (i) Battery Drawer Latch: Secures the battery drawer.
- (j) Wall Mount: Bracket for mounting the remote to a wall.
- (k) Battery Drawer: Compartment for batteries.
Operation and Setup
Initial Setup
Download the TaHoma application if it is not already installed on your smartphone.
Channel/Group Selection (Figure [B])
Before operating the remote control, ensure the correct channel or group is selected using the channel selector (g). This is crucial for controlling the intended device.
Installation
Wall Mounting (Figure [C])
Open the wall mount bracket (j) and secure it to a flat surface using a screwdriver and an M3 screw. ⚠️ CAUTION: Do not use electric screwdrivers.
Battery Replacement (Figure [D])
❗ DANGER: Read the Safety Instructions document. Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Open the battery drawer (k) using the latch (i). Insert two AAA LR03, 2 x 1.5V batteries, observing the polarity (+ and -) indicated inside the drawer. Ensure the power terminals are not short-circuited.

Note: It is recommended to use the device in the same environment as the controlled products to ensure optimal radio range.
