Important Safety Instructions for Battery Cartridge
- Read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and product.
- Do not disassemble battery cartridge.
- Stop operating immediately if operating time becomes excessively shorter.
- If electrolyte gets into eyes, rinse with water and seek medical attention.
- Do not short the battery cartridge:
- Do not touch terminals with conductive material.
- Avoid storing battery cartridge with other metal objects.
- Do not expose battery cartridge to water or rain.
- Do not store battery pack in locations where temperature may reach or exceed 50°C (122°F).
- Do not incinerate battery cartridge.
- Be careful not to drop or strike battery.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- Follow local regulations relating to disposal of battery.
Tips for maintaining maximum battery life
- Charge the battery cartridge before completely discharged.
- Stop tool operation and charge when tool power is low.
- Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge.
- Charge the battery cartridge at room temperature (10°C - 40°C / 50°F - 104°F).
- Charge the battery cartridge if not used for a long period (more than six months).
Functional Description
CAUTION: Always ensure the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before adjusting or checking.
Installing or removing battery cartridge
CAUTION: Always switch off the tool before installing or removing the battery cartridge.
Hold the tool and battery cartridge firmly. Failure to do so may cause them to slip, resulting in damage or personal injury.
To remove, slide the battery cartridge while sliding the button on the front. To install, align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it into place until it locks. If the red indicator is visible, it is not locked completely.
Tool / battery protection system
The tool has a protection system that automatically cuts off power to the motor to extend tool and battery life. The tool stops automatically if the tool or battery are under certain conditions, indicated by lights.
Overheat protection for tool
When the tool overheats, it stops automatically and the indicator blinks for about 60 seconds. Let the tool cool before turning it on again.
Overheat protection for battery
When the battery overheats, it stops automatically and the battery indicator lights up for about 60 seconds. The tool will not start even if the trigger is pulled. Let the battery cool before turning it on again. This protection works with batteries with a star marking.
Overdischarge protection
When battery capacity is low, the indicator blinks. The tool stops and the indicator lights up for about 60 seconds. Charge the battery cartridge.
Indicating the remaining battery capacity
Press the check button on the battery cartridge to indicate remaining capacity. Indicator lamps light up for a few seconds.

NOTE: Indication may differ slightly from actual capacity due to usage conditions and ambient temperature. The first (far left) indicator lamp blinks when the battery protection system works.
Using the trigger lock
CAUTION: When not in use or after operating, always lock the trigger.
The tool has a trigger lock to prevent accidental starts. Set the lock button to "LOCK" to lock the trigger. Set to "FREE" before nailing. When not in use, always set to "LOCK" and remove the battery cartridge.
Nailing mode selection
The tool has two nailing modes: Sequential mode and Continuous mode. Select the desired mode using the mode selecting button.
- Intermittent nailing (sequential mode): Suits for driving a nail carefully and accurately. To drive a nail, set the lock button to "FREE", place the contact element against the workpiece, and pull the trigger. Release the trigger after each operation.
- Continuous/ intermittent nailing (continuous mode): You can choose either continuous or intermittent nailing by sequences of trigger operation. For continuous nailing, pull the trigger first, then place the contact element against the workpiece. For subsequent nails, you do not need to release the trigger. For intermittent nailing, place the contact element against the workpiece and pull the trigger. You need to reset the trigger for the next actuation.
NOTE: This tool stops automatically under the following conditions:
- If you release the trigger or contact element from the workpiece before the tool finishes the operation completely. Pull the trigger again until the tool turns into standby.
- If you keep the trigger pulled or contact element against the workpiece for about 5 seconds without further action. Release the trigger or contact element to restart operation.
Anti dry fire mechanism
This tool has an anti dry fire mechanism that stops driving nails when remaining nails are finished. Load more nails to resume operation.
Removing jammed nails
WARNING: Always make sure the trigger is released, and the battery cartridge and nails are removed before removing jammed nails.
Remove hex bolts securing the driver guide cover using the hex wrench. Take jammed nails from the nail guide groove. Secure the driver guide cover with hex bolts in the correct order (A, B, then C). Ensure the driver guide cover actuates properly after installation.
Nails
Handle nails and their boxes carefully to avoid damage. Avoid storing nails in humid, hot, or direct sunlight exposed places.
Maintenance
CAUTION: Always ensure the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge and nails are removed before performing inspection or maintenance.
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol, or similar solvents, as they can cause discoloration, deformation, or cracks.
Cleaning of magazine
If the pusher in the magazine does not move smoothly due to dust, sand, chips, or foreign matter, clean the magazine.
NOTE: Parts in the slide door may bounce out when the pusher is removed. Leave slight spaces between the pusher and sleeves when installing.
