This manual provides instructions for the Vejrstation Weather Station.
1. LCD Display Overview
The LCD display shows various information including:
- RF icon
- Outdoor temperature
- Outdoor temperature memory (Hi/Lo)
- Indoor temperature
- Indoor humidity
- RCC icon
- Date
- Time
- Weekday
- Alarm icon
- Snooze icon

3. Initial Operation
Placement Recommendations:
- Keep devices at least 2.5 meters away from sources of interference like televisions or computer monitors.
- Radio reception may be weaker in rooms with concrete walls or in offices. Consider placing the sensor unit near a window in such cases.
- Protect the transmitter from direct sunlight.
First Use:
- Insert batteries (2xAAA) into the outdoor sensor, observing correct polarity.
- Insert batteries (3xAAA) into the receiver, observing correct polarity.
- Upon battery insertion, all LCD icons will light up briefly, a beep will sound, and indoor temperature/humidity will be detected.
- The receiver will attempt to connect to the outdoor sensor for approximately 3 minutes, indicated by a flashing RF antenna symbol in the "OUTDOOR" display area.
- Once connected, the unit enters clock mode.
Backlight:
Briefly press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the display lighting for 5 seconds.
Date and Time Settings
All settings are accessed via buttons on the rear of the weather station.
Automatic Setting (RCC Function):
The weather station automatically sets the time by receiving a radio signal from Frankfurt, Germany. This signal is effective within approximately 1500 km. Summer and winter time settings are applied automatically.
The unit automatically searches for the DCF signal upon startup. This process can take several minutes to hours. If reception is poor, try relocating the unit. The unit will automatically adjust multiple times a day.
Manual Setting:
- Press and hold the "MODE" button for 1 second. The year display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct year, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The month display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct month, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The date display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct date, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The language selection for the weekday display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select a language, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The time zone display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct time zone (-12 to +12), then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The 12/24 hour mode display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select the desired mode, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The hour display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct hour, then press "MODE" to confirm.
- The minute display will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the correct minute, then press "MODE" to confirm and exit settings.
The clock will automatically switch to normal time mode after 7 seconds of inactivity.
Alarm Setting
- Press the "ALARM" button once to display the "bell" icon, activating the alarm.
- Press and hold the "ALARM" button for 2 seconds until the alarm time icon flashes.
- Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select the desired alarm time, then briefly press "ALARM" to set it.
- The hour display of the alarm time will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the hour, then press "ALARM" to confirm.
- The minute display of the alarm time will flash. Use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to set the minute, then press "ALARM" to confirm and exit.
Press the "ALARM" button once to activate or deactivate daily alarms. The alarm will sound for 1 minute if not deactivated. The alarm will repeat automatically after 24 hours. The alarm sound increases in volume over 1 minute.
Automatic Snooze Function:
While the alarm is sounding, press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button or the front button under the LCD to activate snooze. The "Zz" symbol will appear. This will delay the alarm by 1 to 60 minutes (based on previous settings).
Temperature Display (°C/°F)
Briefly pressing the "DOWN" button allows switching between °C and °F temperature display modes.
Radio Connection to Outdoor Sensor
Press and hold the "DOWN" button for 2 seconds to search for outdoor sensors (this also erases current data in the RC clock).
Receiving of the RCC Signal
Upon power-on, the unit automatically receives the RCC signal for up to 7 minutes, indicated by a flashing RCC icon. At specific hours (1:00/2:00/3:00 AM), the unit automatically attempts synchronization. If reception fails (radio mast icon disappears), it retries at the next full hour, up to 5 times daily.
Press and hold the "WAVE" button to enable or disable RCC reception. If no signal is received within 7 minutes, the DCF signal search stops and restarts at the next full hour.
- A flashing radio mast icon indicates the unit is receiving the RCC signal.
- A continuously displayed radio mast icon indicates successful DCF signal reception.
- The radio mast icon disappears if reception fails.
Weather Forecast
The weather station uses air pressure data for its forecast, displaying one of four icons:
