Safety Notes
This section contains important information for the safe and effective use of the printer. Please read carefully.
It is necessary to use the specified battery and power source provided by HDWR. Connecting to an incorrect power source may cause fire, explosion, or damage to the printer.
Do not open the paper compartment cover during or immediately after printing.
Do not touch the print head with your hand or body, as its high temperature may cause burns.
General Notes:
- Do not store the printer in places with high temperature and humidity.
- The printer's power adapter requires a stable voltage range of 110-220 V. Do not use other devices in the same electrical outlet to avoid voltage fluctuations.
- Avoid contact between the printer and water or conductive materials (e.g., metal). If water is on the printer surface, immediately turn off the power.
- Ensure that there is always a paper roll in the printer to avoid damaging the print roller and print head.
- The printer should only be serviced and repaired by a qualified technician. HDWR is not responsible for improper use or unauthorized service.
- To ensure high print quality and printer longevity, use only high-quality paper rolls.
- Store this manual in a safe place for easy access and future reference.

How to Clean the Print Head
When should the print head be cleaned?
- ✓ Printer does not print clearly, even though the thermal paper is fine.
- ✓ Prints are smudged or illegible along the side.
- ✓ Printer makes excessively loud noises during paper feeding or printing.
Steps for cleaning the print head:
- Turn off the printer and open the paper compartment cover. Remove the thermal paper roll.
- If the printer has just finished printing, wait for the head to cool down.
- Use a soft cotton cloth dampened with ethanol (without dripping) and gently clean the head, removing dust and dirt.
- Wait for the ethanol to evaporate completely, then reinsert the paper roll into the printer. Close the cover and print a test page.
⚠️ When performing maintenance on the printer, ensure it is turned off.
⚠️ Do not use metal tools (e.g., tweezers) to avoid scratching the print head surface.
⚠️ Do not use gasoline, acetone, or other organic solvents to clean the print head.
Label Calibration and Exception Handling
Label Calibration Process
If the printer is newly assembled (e.g., after replacing a reflective sensor, software update), skips paper when changing label size, or prints continuously without interruption, calibration is necessary.
How to perform calibration:
- ✓ Insert paper into the printer and turn on the device.
- ✓ When the power light turns on, press and hold the 'FEED' button for 5-6 seconds until the LED starts blinking and you hear an audible signal.
- ✓ Release the button, then restart the printer and perform a test.
Note: Calibration results may vary depending on paper specifications.
What to do if errors occur after calibration?
1) Printer detects an error, even though paper is in the printer
- Remove the paper.
- Turn on the printer and wait for the red LED to start blinking.
- Press and hold the 'FEED' button until the red LED stops blinking and you hear an audible signal.
- Release the button, wait 2 seconds, restart the printer, and perform a test.
2) Printer does not report an error, even though there is no paper
- Remove paper and turn off the printer.
- Hold the 'FEED' button for 8-10 seconds after turning the printer back on.
- Wait for the red LED to start blinking and an audible signal to sound twice.
- Release the button, restart the printer, and perform a test.
Note:
o The first blink and signal indicates label calibration.
o The second blink and signal indicates reflective sensor calibration.
⚠️ If the problem persists after calibration, the reflective sensor should be replaced.
