Weight Term Explanations:

Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW): The typical weight of the trailer as built at the factory, excluding cargo, water, propane, and options.

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): The maximum permissible weight of the trailer, including UVW, passengers, cargo, fluids, and options.

Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC): The maximum weight of passengers, personal items, food, water, propane, tools, and dealer-installed accessories that can be carried. CCC = GVWR - UVW. Adding options decreases CCC.

Hitch Weight (HW): The weight exerted on the towing vehicle's hitch. This does not include cargo, water, propane, or options.

It is crucial for safety and enjoyment that your tow vehicle is adequately sized and equipped to handle the GVWR of the RV. Consult a competent advisor for questions. Towing an RV requires different driving techniques than a single vehicle; practice in a safe environment or seek professional instruction. Jayco provides a weight label on each RV.

The Jayco Co-Pilot Warranty is a manufacturer's limited warranty designed for the owner. It covers defects in materials and workmanship for twenty-four (24) months or twenty-four thousand (24,000) miles (mileage limitation applies to motorized products), whichever occurs first, from the original date of purchase. This warranty is not transferable. Jayco's warranty is considered among the best in the industry.
