Electro-Voice EVI Vari Intense Loudspeakers
Electro-Voice's EVI Vari Intense® (VI) series loudspeakers are engineered to provide exceptional sound coverage and intelligibility without the need for additional long-throw horns or delayed sources in many rooms. They offer an economical solution for permanent installations requiring coverage over a rectangular area, effectively overcoming the level loss typically experienced at the rear of a room.
EVI Vari Intense® Coverage Pattern (3-2-1 Rule)
The EVI Vari Intense® series follows a simple 3-2-1 rule-of-thumb for determining coverage patterns. This rule states that the pattern's width should equal twice the height of the room, and the pattern's length should equal three times the height. The first row coverage is equal to the height of the room.
Formula: If speaker height = H, then coverage length = 3H, coverage width = 2H, and first row coverage = 1H.
[Diagram Description: A 3D illustration showing a room with a loudspeaker at one end. Lines extend from the loudspeaker to illustrate the coverage pattern. The width of the coverage at the far end is labeled 'Width = 2H', and the length of the coverage is labeled 'Length = 3H'. The height of the room is indicated by 'H'. Rows of seats are depicted within the coverage area.]
