Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the KS-SF19 Simple Door Security Alarm, a magnetic door intruder detector.
The host unit includes indicators for General Alarm, Constant Alarm, Closing-door Alert, Doorbell mode, and OFF/disarm. It also shows the battery cover.
1. Product Parameters
- Host Power: 2 AAA size alkaline batteries.
- Battery Life: Standby time over 2 years (based on 5 ON/OFF cycles per day).
- Alarm Volume: 108dB.
- Operating Temperature: -10°C to +60°C.
- Operating Humidity: Relative Humidity <80%.
- Storage Temperature: -20°C to +70°C.
2. Functions
2.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery cover and insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries.
- A successful installation is indicated by a "Be...Be" sound.
- Alkaline batteries are recommended for optimal performance. Using other battery types may reduce usage time or alarm sound volume.
2.2 Magnetic Sensor Installation
- Clean the installation area with a damp cloth and ensure it is dry.
- Attach the magnetic sensor using the provided double-sided adhesive tape.
- Position the magnetic stick next to the magnetic sensor, within 1cm, ensuring the alignment arrows on both components face each other.
Installation Figure: The magnetic stick should be aligned with the sensor, with a distance of less than 10mm between them. Arrows on both parts should point towards each other.
Turning the Host On/Off
- To Turn On: Press any function key once. The host will turn on and enter the selected function mode.
- To Turn Off: Long press the [OFF/disarm] key for 2 seconds. All functions will be cancelled, and the host will turn off with a long "Di" sound.
3. Usages
3.1 General Alarm Mode
- Press the [General Alarm] key to activate the mode, indicated by "Di...Di".
- When the door/window opens, the sensor will trigger an immediate alarm. The alarm stops when the door/window is closed.
- To stop the alarm, long press the [OFF/Disarm] key for 2 seconds.
3.2 Constant Alarm Mode
- Press the [Constant Alarm] key. The sensor will sound "Di... Di... Di", followed by "Di" after 10 seconds, entering alert alarm mode.
- When the door/window opens, the sensor will trigger an immediate alarm. The alarm stops when the door/window is closed.
- To stop the alarm, long press the [OFF/Disarm] key for 2 seconds.
3.3 Closing-door Reminder Mode
- Press the [Closing-door Reminder] button to enter the mode, indicated by "Di ... Di ... Di".
- If the door/window is opened and remains open for 5 seconds, the sensor will sound "Di... Di...Di", increasing in volume until the door/window is closed.
- Long press the [Closing-door Reminder] button to set delayed-time reminders (3S, 15S, 30S, 60S). The factory default is 15S. One "Di" indicates 3S, two "Di" indicate 15S, and so on.
- To stop the alarm, long press the [OFF/Disarm] key for 2 seconds.
3.4 Doorbell Mode
- Press the [Doorbell] key to switch to Doorbell Mode, indicated by "Ding...Dong".
- When the door/window opens, the sensor will sound "Ding...Dong".
- To stop the alarm, long press the [OFF/Disarm] key for 2 seconds.
3.5 OFF/Disarm
- Long press the [OFF/Disarm] key for 2 seconds to disarm, turn off, or stop the alarm.
4. Battery Low Power Indication
When the host's power is low, the LED will flash once every second and produce a "DiDi" sound every 30 minutes. Please replace the battery.
Cautions
- Keep the alarm installed indoors, away from severe pollution or high humidity.
- Ensure the magnetic stick is on the right side of the magnetic sensor, with the arrow indications opposite each other.
- If the magnetic sensor is on the door, the magnetic stick should be on the door frame on the right side of the sensor, or vice versa. Test by opening the door to ensure separation triggers the alarm.
- The magnetic sensor and stick should be less than 10mm apart when the door/window is closed.
