Operating and Safety Instructions

Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing your new Recozy luminaire. This instruction manual contains important information regarding safety, usage, and disposal. Please familiarize yourself with all operating and safety instructions before using the product. Use the product only as described and for its intended purposes. When passing the product on, provide all relevant documents. Ensure correct voltage and proper assembly before use.

Intended Usage

This luminaire is suitable for indoor use only in dry and enclosed rooms. It is intended for private households and is unsuitable for commercial or industrial use. It is designed for regular operation and should not be used beyond its intended purpose or specifications.

Scope of Delivery

Upon receiving your package, check that all components are included and in proper condition. The package includes:

Safety Instructions

Disregarding this operating manual voids the warranty claim and excludes liability for consequential damages, property damage, or personal injury caused by improper handling.

Risk of injury or death for infants and children! Never leave children unsupervised with packaging material due to suffocation risk. Children aged 8 and above, and individuals with reduced capabilities, can use the device if supervised or instructed and understand the dangers. Children must not play with the device or perform cleaning/maintenance without supervision.

Risk of injury! Do not leave the lamp or packaging carelessly lying around; plastic films and parts can become dangerous toys for children. Avoid electric shock. If the lamp is exposed to disturbances, it may recover independently. Before connecting, check the power plug for damage. Never use if damaged.

Contact the service address or an electrician for damage, repairs, or other problems.

Avoid contact with water or other liquids. Never open electrical components or insert objects, as this poses a risk of electric shock.

Only hold the insulated area of the power plug when connecting or disconnecting. Damaged outer flexible cables must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer, its service representative, or a comparable specialist.

Before use, ensure the existing power voltage matches the luminaire's required operating voltage (see "Technical Data"). Always disconnect the power plug before installing, disassembling, cleaning, or if not using the luminaire for a while. Do not install on damp or conductive surfaces.

Use bulbs only in a dry environment. This luminaire is not suitable for external dimmers and electronic switches. Protect the luminaire from moisture and dirt. Always be attentive!

Warning: Do not cover the luminaire with objects; excessive heat can cause a fire. During operation, do not look directly into the light source from a close distance, and avoid using optical devices for this purpose.

Remove the plug from the power outlet to disconnect the lamp. Use only light bulbs as described in the "Technical Data" chapter.

Installation

Caution:

Read all instructions and warnings carefully before use.
Inspect the device for visible damage before usage.
Do not place the wall lamp in high-temperature environments.
Keep the wall lamp away from open flames or scorching environments.
Do not expose the wall lamp to moisture; never submerge it in liquid.
Ensure the wall lamp is always dry.
Do not disassemble or attempt to repair or modify the lamp.

Luminaire Installation:

Note: Remove all packaging material from the product.

Visual representation of installation steps:

Drill 2 holes, insert plugs, and screw the wall bracket tightly to the wall.
Insert the lamp with the cable hole facing down and to the left onto the wall bracket.
Turn the lamp to the right at the base to secure it to the wall.
Connect the power plug to a properly installed power outlet.

Your luminaire is now ready for operation.

Operation

Switching Luminaire On / Off:

Switch the luminaire on or off using the toggle switch.
For 3-step dimming, use the toggle switch to cycle through dimming levels (100%, 55%, 15%) by switching the luminaire on and off.

Light Replacement:

Warning: Risk of electric shock! Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet first.

Caution! Risk of burns from hot surfaces! Allow the luminaire to cool entirely before changing the light bulb. Use a clean, lint-free, and dry cloth.

Visual representation of light replacement steps:

Remove the diffuser using the diffuser removal tool.
Unscrew the light bulb counterclockwise from the lamp socket.
Screw a new light bulb clockwise into the lamp socket.

Now, insert the diffuser back into the wall lamp. Connect the power plug to a properly installed power outlet. Your luminaire is now ready for operation.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Switch off the luminaire. Warning: Risk of electric shock! Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet first.

Caution! Risk of burns from hot surfaces! Allow the luminaire to cool completely.

Warning: Risk of electric shock! Never clean the lamp with water or other liquids, nor submerge it in water. Do not use solvents, gasoline, or similar substances, as they may damage the lamp.

Use only a clean, lint-free, and dry cloth for cleaning. Connect the power plug to a properly installed power outlet.

Disposal

The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials and should be disposed of at local recycling centres. The ? [Green Dot] logo indicates compliance with system participation obligations according to the Packaging Act.

Please pay attention to the labelling of packaging materials when separating waste:

1-7: Plastics
20-22: Paper and cardboard
80-98: Composite materials

In the interest of environmental protection, do not dispose of the product in household waste. Dispose of it properly or return it via the Recozy Exchange Program for recycling. For more information, visit www.recozy.de.

Warranty and Service

The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase, including a 6-month guarantee from the date of purchase. The warranty is Europe-wide. The invoice serves as proof of purchase. The product has been thoroughly tested for quality and functionality.

The warranty will be voided in the following cases:

If the installation is faulty.
If the system is modified without approval.
If damages are caused by moisture, drops, or damaged cables.
If no proof of purchase is available.
