Assembly and Setup
Unpack components carefully and check that all parts have been removed from the packaging.
Connect the top part of the light with the spike by twisting them together.
First-Time Use: Charging and Operation
Locate the "on/off" switch ⚙️ at the back of the solar panel case. Twist the lamp shade to find the switch and push it to the "on" position. Replace the cover and position the light in a sunny location.
Charge the solar product by placing it under direct sunlight ☀️ for at least 8 hours ⏳.
The light will operate automatically. It charges under direct sunlight during the day and illuminates at night ?.
NOTE: To verify the switch is correctly in the "ON" position, cover the solar panel with your hand ✋; the light should turn "ON" automatically.
Optimal Placement
Place the solar light in an area that receives direct sunlight ☀️ for at least 8 hours per day. The duration of illumination is directly proportional to the hours of sunlight received. If placed in a shaded area, the light may not charge fully, limiting its illumination time.
Avoid placing the light near other outdoor lighting sources, such as porch or streetlights, as these may interfere with the light sensor and prevent the light from coming on or cause it to turn off prematurely.
Installation into Ground
To easily insert stakes into the ground, it is recommended to wet the ground first. To avoid damaging the stakes, select a spot in soft, rock-free soil. Insert the base of the stake first, then gently insert the rest of the stake into the base.
DO NOT push directly against the solar cell or the ornament housing containing the actual LED light.
Care and Maintenance Recommendations
- Clean the solar panel with a soft sponge ? every couple of weeks.
- Ensure all connectors remain tight and that no water is getting in.
- If the solar product stops lighting up after approximately 8–12 months of use, replace the rechargeable battery. Batteries may become weak or worn out. (Use 1x AAA 1.2V 150mAh Ni-MH Rechargeable battery, an equivalent type to the one recommended).
Battery Replacement
- Step 1: Unscrew the battery compartment cover using a Phillips head screwdriver ? (not included).
- Step 2: Remove the exhausted battery and install 1x AA rechargeable battery according to the +/- polarity markings ➕➖. Open the compartment carefully and ensure that the wires inside the battery terminals are not damaged.
