INSTALLATION
CHOOSING A LOCATION
Install the EV Charger in a location that allows the charging cable to reach the vehicle charge port without putting strain on the cable. Tethered cable length is 5m, therefore, a recommended distance would be no greater than 3m from the car charging point.
CHOOSING A HEIGHT TO FIX THE CHARGER TO THE WALL
Recommend the EV charger is 1.2metre from ground to centre of cable socket.

STEP 1 WALL BRACKET FIXING
Once you have established the correct height, Using the wall bracket, mark 4 positions on the wall with a suitable tool.
Drill 4 holes and fix the bracket to the wall with suitable C/SK screws.

GATEWAY HUB USER INSTRUCTIONS

GATEWAY SETUP (Ethernet) (Important order of sequence)
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the Hub. - Connect the power cable to the Hub, plug it into the wall socket and switch on. Hub will automatically power
on and connect to the Charge point. - Successful setup is confirmed by Network LED and Internet LED both illuminating GREEN - If connection fails, see troubleshooting.
Note: If Ethernet is not available or WIFI is preferred, follow WIFI setup procedure below.
GATEWAY SETUP (WIFI)
- Turn on the gateway. - Hold the reset button for 3 seconds. The Network LED will alternate between AMBER and PURPLE. - Using a mobile phone/laptop/etc, search for a Wi-Fi network with the name "IONCharge Gateway" and
password IonConfig - This will automatically bring up a network login page, showing a notification prompting you to sign into the
Wi-Fi. o If you are not prompted to go this page, open your web browser on the same device and connect to the web address 192.168.1.1
- On this webpage, enter the Wi-Fi details you would like the charge point to connect to and press connect. - The gateway will reboot, showing 3 WHITE LEDs - The Internet and network LED on the gateway will go GREEN to indicate a successful connection.
Note: If there is an error, this can be repeated at any time
- You will now be able to create an account on the app (see App installation) and then scan the QR code on the back of the gateway. This can then be used to associate the user account with the ID of the system.

OFFLINE BEHAVIOUR
Internet connection lost Internet LED on gateway will turn RED and then AMBER Charge point LED will flash RED when cable is inserted into charge point or vehicle requests a change of state, such as, when charging commences to indicate charge point is operating without a connection to the internet Charge point will be operable as follows: o The latest schedule that was set will be observed by the gateway o An immediate charging session can be started via either: Gateway boost button User RFID key fob.
Gateway connection lost The Charge Point will default to non-smart behaviour if connection can not be established with the gateway for a period of 5 minutes. Charge point LED will blink RED repeatedly at a rate of approximately 1 flash every 3 seconds to indicate it is operating without connection to a gateway. Charge point will now function in non-smart mode. This will default to enabled following which the charge point can be toggled between enabled / disabled state by tapping the User RFID Key Fob that was supplied with the Charge Point.
Note: If loss of either connection persists, see troubleshooting.
BOOST BUTTON FUNCTION
