VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. FACTORY INSTALLED OR AFTERMARKET "ROCK RAILS," SIDE STEPS OR RUNNING BOARDS MUST BE REMOVED. 1. Start installation toward the front of the passenger/right side of the vehicle. Locate the (2) factory holes in the pinch weld closest to the front tire opening, (Figure 1). 2. Select (1) 6mm Double Bolt Plate. Insert the Bolt Plate through the holes from outside of the pinch weld. Select the passenger/front Support Bracket, (Figure 2). Attach the Support Bracket to the Double Bolt Plate and back of the pinch weld with (2) 6mm Flat Washers and (2) 6mm Nylon Lock Nuts. Do not fully tighten hardware. Page 1 of 4 4/27/23 Rev1 (DP) NB1 RUNNING BOARD 2018-24 WRANGLER JL 2DR 3. Locate the factory threaded mounting hole in the bottom of the floor, (Figure 3). Select the passenger/right front Mounting Bracket, (Figure 4). Attach the top of the passenger/right Front Bracket to the threaded hole in the bottom of the floor panel with the included (1) 8mm x 35mm Hex Bolt, (1) 8mm Lock Washer and (1) 8mm Flat Washer, (Figure 4). Leave hardware loose at this time. 4. Attach the tab on the Support Bracket to the rear facing side of the Front Bracket with (1) 10mm x 30mm Hex Bolt, (2) 10mm x 20mm Small Flat Washers and (1) 10mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 5). Leave hardware loose at this time. 5. Move to the rear mounting location toward the rear of the cab, (Figures 1 & 6). Select the passenger/right rear Support Bracket and Mounting Bracket. Repeat Steps 1--4 to install the passenger/right rear Brackets, (Figures 7--9). 6. Select the passenger/right Running Board. With assistance, carefully line up the mounting tabs on the Running Board with the rear facing side of the installed Mounting Brackets. Attach the Running Board to the Brackets with the included (4) 10mm x 35mm Hex Bolts, (8) 10mm x 27mm STD Flat Washers and (4) 10mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Figures 10 & 11). Do not tighten hardware at this time. 7. Adjust and level the Running Board and fully tighten all hardware. 8. Repeat Steps 1--7 for driver/left Running Board installation. 9. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. To protect your investment, Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. Mild soap may be used to clean the Running Board.
