Quick Reference for UCV50
Hardware Overview
A diagram illustrates the hardware components of the IP Phone, including:

LED Status Indicator
Status Indicator: Steady green when power is on, blinking red when the phone is ringing (this can be customized).
Place a call
There are three ways to make a call:
- Handset: Pick up the handset, enter the number, then press the send button or press #.
- Speaker: Press the speakerphone icon ?, enter the number, then press the send button or press #.
- Headset: Press the headset button ?, enter the number, then press the send button or press #.
Note: You can also use the Contacts or call log to dial a number. You can press the dial key and place the call using the three methods mentioned. You can also switch modes during a call.
Answer a call
- Handset: Pick up the handset.
- Speaker: Press the speakerphone icon ?.
- Headset: Press the headset button ?.
End a call
To end a call in three different modes:
- Handset: Hang up the handset or press the end call button.
- Speaker: Press the speakerphone icon ? or press the cancel key.
- Headset: Press the headset button ?.
Note: You can also reject a call by pressing the headset button ?.
Hold
- Press or tap the hold button II during a call to put the call on hold.
- Press or tap the hold button II again to resume the call.
Redial
Press the redial button to redial the last dialed number.
Call Transfer
Blind Transfer
- During the conversation, press or tap the transfer button. The call is now on hold.
- Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the transfer button.
- Select 'Blind Transfer' as the transfer mode. The previous call is ended, and the blind transfer is completed.
Attended Transfer
- During the conversation, press or tap the transfer button. The call is now on hold.
- Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the transfer button. Select 'Attended Transfer' as the transfer mode. The previous call remains on hold.
- After the transfer recipient answers the call, press or tap the transfer button again. The call is transferred, and the attended transfer is completed.
Semi-Attended Transfer
- During the conversation, press or tap the transfer button. The call is now on hold.
- Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the transfer button. Select 'Attended Transfer' as the transfer mode. The previous call remains on hold.
- Before the transfer recipient answers the call, press or tap the transfer button again. The call is transferred, and the semi-attended transfer is completed.
Call Conference
To add a third party (C) to an existing conversation (A and B):
- Party A presses the hold button II. The call is placed on hold.
- Party A enters C's number and presses the send button or #. C answers the call.
- Party A presses the conference button. Now A, B, and C are in a conference.
- To add more participants (D & E): Party A presses the hold button II. The conference is placed on hold. Party A presses the conference button and dials D's number. D answers. Party A presses the conference button again. Then, Party A presses the hold button II, presses the conference button and dials E's number. E answers. Party A presses the conference button again. Now A, B, C, D, and E are in the conference.
Note:
- If C does not answer, A can return to the conversation with B by pressing the hold button II.
- If A hangs up, the conference ends. If B or C drops the call, the conversation continues between the remaining parties (e.g., A and C, or A and B).
Call Mute
Press the mute button ? to mute the microphone during a call. Press it again to unmute.
Configuration
Configuration via Phone
- Press the 'Setting' button, then navigate to 'Advanced' (Default password: admin).
- Select 'Network' to configure the WAN Port (DHCP/Static), PC Port, etc.
- Select 'Accounts' to enable an account and fill in the SIP Server, Outbound Proxy, and SIP Registration information.
Configuration via Web
- Get the IP address from the phone: Press 'Setting' → 'Status Information'.
- Login using the IP address in a web browser. The PC and phone must be in the same IP address segment (Login name: admin; Default password: admin).
- On the 'Profile' page, fill in the SIP Server information. On the 'Account' page, fill in the Account registration information.
- Click 'SaveSet' and 'Restart' the phone if necessary.
Bluetooth
The UCV50 IP Phone connects to a wide range of Bluetooth headsets, compatible with Bluetooth specifications v5.0 and backward compatible with 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, and 3.0.
How to enable headset mode?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic Settings → Headset.
- Enable 'Headset priority'.
- Choose the 'Ringer Device' from options like 'Use Headset', 'Speaker & Headset'.
- Press the save button to save the configuration.
- Press the headset key ? on the phone during idle status. A headset icon will appear on the phone's status bar.
How to activate Bluetooth via phone interface?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Connected devices.
- Select 'Connection Preference' → 'Bluetooth', then press to turn it on.
How to scan for a Bluetooth headset device?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Connected devices → Pair new device.
- The phone will enter the scanning interface and search for Bluetooth headsets within range.
- Detected Bluetooth headsets will be displayed.
- Select the desired Bluetooth Device from the list and connect.
- An icon will appear on the status bar indicating a successful connection.
- To disconnect, press the 'Settings' button, then press 'Disconnect'.
How to edit device information?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Connected devices → Connection Preference → Bluetooth → Device name.
- You can edit the device name here.
How to adjust headset volume during a call?
- With a Bluetooth headset paired, use the volume keys (+/-) on the phone to increase or decrease the volume.
How to answer an incoming call?
With a Bluetooth headset paired, press the multifunction key on the headset.
How to end calls?
With a Bluetooth headset paired, press the multifunction key on the headset.
Bluetooth Troubleshooting
Why can't the phone detect the Bluetooth headset?
- Ensure the Bluetooth headset is turned on.
- Ensure the Bluetooth headset is in pairing mode while the phone is searching.
Why is there noise?
- Check the headset's battery level.
- Ensure the headset and phone are within working range and free from interference (e.g., walls).
Wi-Fi
How to enable Wi-Fi?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Wi-Fi.
- Press the switch button to turn on Wi-Fi.
How to connect to a wireless network?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Wi-Fi.
- The phone will automatically search for available networks.
- Select a network from the list.
- Enter the password if required.
- Tap 'Connect'.
How to add a Wireless Network Manually?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Wi-Fi → Add network.
- Enter the network name (SSID).
- Select the Security Mode.
- Enter the password if needed.
- Press 'Save' to save the configuration.
How to view Wireless Network status?
A filled wireless network icon indicates a successful connection. A hollow icon indicates a failed connection.
Note: Contact your network administrator for the Wi-Fi password.
How to disable Wi-Fi?
- Navigate: Menu → Settings → Basic → Wi-Fi.
- Press the switch button to turn off Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Troubleshooting
Why can't the IP phone connect to Wi-Fi?
- Ensure the entered Wi-Fi password is correct.
- Ensure your gateway/router has Wi-Fi enabled.
- Reboot your gateway/router.
- Toggle the IP phone's Wi-Fi feature off and on.
Why is the wireless signal strength low?
- Ensure the IP phone and your gateway/router are within working range and free from interference (e.g., walls).
