Introduction
This document provides release notes for the NVIDIA Data Loading Library (DALI), specifically detailing the NGX (NVIDIA Extension) features. It covers key features, enhancements, compatibility information, and known issues for different versions, including NGX 1.1.0 and NGX 1.0.0. NVIDIA NGX simplifies the integration of pre-built AI features into applications, with ongoing updates and new feature additions.
Key Components of NGX
The NVIDIA NGX system comprises three main components:
- NGX SDK: Offers CUDA and DX11/12 APIs for accessing AI features.
- NGX Core Runtime: Provided with NVIDIA Graphics Drivers supporting RTX hardware.
- NGX Update Module: Ensures integrated applications utilize the latest NGX features.
Release Highlights
NGX 1.1.0 introduced support for the Windows DCH driver and underwent testing with various Windows 10 drivers and NVIDIA GPUs, including Quadro, GeForce, and Titan RTX. It also noted deprecated features like NGX updates via GFE and QXP, with updates now managed by the NGX Update Module.
NGX 1.0.0 marked the initial release of NGX, featuring Image Super-Resolution, Video Super-Resolution, InPainting, and Slow Motion/Frame Insertion. Compatibility was established with Windows 10 R410 and R415 drivers and specific NVIDIA GPUs. Limitations included potential issues with sample applications and a lack of support for the DLSS feature in this version.
