    • This is an easy-to-use/easy-to-install gateway. For convenience of the end user, the easy-to-access multi-colored LEDs provide a clear indication of start-up sequence and connectivity status. Multiple integrated web pages allow direct access to the status and settings, including privacy and security information.

Before You Start Installation or Use

  • When using this product, always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

Climatic Conditions

  • Intended for in-house stationary use. Maximum ambient temperature: 40 °C (104 °F). Relative humidity: 20% to 80%.
  • Do not mount in locations exposed to direct or excessive solar/heat radiation.
  • Avoid heat trap conditions and exposure to water or condensation.
  • Install in a Pollution Degree 2 environment (dry, nonconductive pollution).
  • If batteries are installed, they must not be exposed to excessive heat.

Ventilation and Positioning

  • Remove all packaging material before applying power.
  • Do not block or cover ventilation openings; do not place on soft furnishings or carpets.
  • Never push objects through openings.
  • Maintain 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 inches) clearance around the product for proper ventilation.
  • Do not install near heat sources (radiators, heat registers, stoves, amplifiers).
  • Do not place objects that could spill or drip into the product. Avoid exposure to dripping, splashing, rain, or moisture. If liquid enters, unplug immediately and contact Customer Service.

Cleaning

  • Unplug from wall socket and computer before cleaning.
  • Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth.

Water and Moisture

  • Do not use near water (bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, wet basement, swimming pool).
  • Allow product to dry naturally if condensation occurs due to temperature transition.

Accessibility

  • The power supply cord plug serves as the disconnect device. Ensure the mains supply socket outlet is easily accessible and close to the product.

Overloading

  • Do not overload mains supply socket outlets and extension cords to reduce fire/electric shock risk.

Cable Distribution

  • Cable shield/screen shall be grounded (earthed) as close as practical to the point of entry into the building. Reference to ANSI/NFPA 70 (NEC) Section 820.93 for grounding of coaxial cable outer conductive shield.

Servicing

  • To reduce electric shock risk, do not disassemble. No user-replaceable internal parts. Opening covers may expose to dangerous voltages. Incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock.
  • Refer servicing to qualified personnel for repair work.

Damage Requiring Service

  • Unplug and refer servicing if: power supply, cord, or plug is damaged; attached cords are damaged/frayed; liquid spilled; exposed to rain/water; product does not operate normally; product dropped/damaged; noticeable overheating; distinct change in performance.
  • Immediately disconnect if product emits burning smell or smoke. Do not open equipment yourself due to electrocution risk.

Moving the Product

  • Always disconnect the power source when moving or connecting/disconnecting cables.

Equipment tested and found to comply with FCC Rules Part 15 limits for a Class B digital device, providing reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. Generates, uses, and can radiate RF energy. If not installed/used per instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. RF Exposure Statement

Equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment. End users must follow specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance.

To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, follow operation instructions as documented in the product documentation.

When equipped with a wireless interface, it becomes a mobile or fixed modular transmitter. Maintain a separation distance of at least 20 cm (8 inches) between the antenna and the user or nearby persons. This means users must maintain at least 20 cm (8 inches) distance from the product and not lean on it if wall-mounted. MPE limits are well above the wireless interface's capability at this distance. Transmitter must not be co-located or operating with any other antenna or transmitter.
