NOTE: If your model has no water softener, skip this section.
A. Loading the Salt Into the Softener
Always use salt intended for dishwashers. The salt container is located beneath the basket.
Attention!
- Only use salt specifically designed for dishwashers. Other types (e.g., table salt) will damage the water softener. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by unsuitable salt.
- Fill with salt just before starting a complete washing program. This prevents salt grains or salty water from causing corrosion.
Procedure:
- Remove the basket, unscrew and remove the salt container cap.
- Before the first wash, add 1 liter of water to the salt container.
- Place the funnel (supplied) into the hole and add about 1kg of salt. A small amount of water may come out.
- Screw the cap tightly back clockwise.
The salt warning light usually extinguishes within 2-6 days after filling. Immediately start a washing program (suggested: rapid program) after filling salt to prevent damage to the filter system, pump, or other parts by salty water. This is out of warranty.
NOTE:
- Refill the salt container only when the salt warning light comes on. The light may stay on even if filled, depending on salt dissolution. If no light (on some models), judge refill by cycles run.
- If salt spills, run a soak or rapid program to remove excess salt.
Adjusting Salt Consumption
Step 1: Enter salt adjustment mode
Close the door. Within 60 seconds after power on, press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5 seconds.
Step 2: Select salt consumption level
Press the Start/Pause button to select the level according to your local environment. Sets change in sequence: H1->H2->H3->H4->H5->H6.
Step 3: Exit salt adjustment mode
After five seconds of inactivity, the machine exits set mode and enters standby.
There are 6 levels of salt consumption. Recommended levels based on water hardness:
Water Hardness level (°dH) | (mmol/l) | Setting on the water softener | Digital display stalls |
---|---|---|---|
0-5 | 0-0.9 | 1 | Rapid |
6-11 | 1.0-2.0 | 2 | Daily |
12-17 | 2.1-3.0 | 3 | Daily & Rapid |
18-22 | 3.1-4.0 | 4* | Glass ? |
23-34 | 4.1-6.1 | 5 | Glass & Rapid ? |
35-45 | 6.2-8.0 | 6 | Glass & Daily ? |
Note: 1) German degree; 2) millimol (international unit). * Factory setting. Contact your local water board for water hardness information.
B. Fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water droplets, spots, and streaks, improving drying. Use liquid rinse aids. The dispenser is inside the door. Open the cap, pour rinse aid until the level indicator is completely black. Container volume is about 110ml.
Function of Rinse Aid: Ensures thorough rinsing and spot/streak-free drying.
Attention! Only use branded rinse aid. Never fill with other substances (e.g., cleaning agent, liquid detergent) as this will damage the appliance.
When to Refill the Rinse Aid Dispenser: If no rinse-aid warning light, judge by the optical level indicator "C" next to the cap. Full = dark indicator. As it diminishes, the dark dot decreases. Never let it go below 1/4 full.
Indicator levels: Full, 3/4 full, 1/2 full, 1/4 full (refill to eliminate spotting), Empty.
How to fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser:
- Open dispenser cap (turn to "open" arrow, lift).
- Pour rinse aid, avoid overfilling.
- Replace cap (align with "open" arrow, turn to closed arrow).
NOTE: Clean up spills with an absorbent cloth to avoid foaming. Replace cap before closing door.
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser:
The dispenser has six or four settings. Start with "4". If spots/poor drying occur, increase to "5" by rotating the dial. Adjust higher if needed until dishes are spot-free. Recommended setting is "4" (factory value).
NOTE: Increase dose for water drops or lime spots. Reduce for sticky whitish stains or bluish film on glassware/knives.
C. Detergent
Detergents contain chemical ingredients to remove dirt. Most commercial quality detergents are suitable.
Normally, powdered detergents are phosphate-free. If using phosphate-free detergents with hard water, white spots may appear. Add more detergent for better results. Detergents without chlorine bleach only slightly. Strong/colored spots may not be removed completely; choose a higher temperature program.
Concentrated Detergent: Can be conventional (alkaline) or low alkaline concentrated (with natural enzymes).
Detergent Tablets: Dissolve at different speeds. Use long programs for full cleaning power and to ensure residual removal. NOTE: Tablets are only for models with 3-in-1 function/program.
Detergent Dispenser: Refill before each wash. Uses less detergent than conventional dishwashers. Generally, one tablespoon is sufficient for a normal load. Add detergent just before starting, otherwise it may get damp and not dissolve properly.
Amount of Detergent to Use:
- Push latch to open dispenser lid.
- Add detergent powder or detergent tablet.
NOTE: If lid is closed, press release button. Lid springs open. Always add detergent just before starting. Use only branded dishwasher detergent.
6. Loading the Dishwasher Baskets
Recommendation:

9. Maintenance and Cleaning
Filtering System
The filter prevents large food remnants from entering the pump. The system has a coarse filter, a flat (Main filter), and a micro (fine filter).
- Main filter (A): Traps food particles, pulverized by spray arm jet, washed to drain.
- Fine filter (B): Holds soil/food residues in sump, prevents redeposit on dishes.
- Coarse filter (C): Traps large items (bone, glass) that could block the drain. Squeeze tap on top to remove.
The filter efficiently recycles wash water. Clean the filter assembly regularly for best performance. Remove large particles after each wash by rinsing under running water. To remove the assembly, pull the cup handle upwards.
⚠️ WARNING! Never run the dishwasher without filters. Improper replacement reduces performance and can damage dishes/utensils.
Filter Assembly Removal/Installation:
- Contrarotate filter assembly (A, B, C) and lift.
- Lift B and C from A.
- Separate B and C.
NOTE: Steps 1-3 remove; Steps 3-1 install.
Cleaning The Filter
Clean coarse and fine filters with a brush. Reassemble as shown and reinsert.
⚠️ WARNING! Do not knock filters during cleaning; they could warp, reducing performance.
Caring for the Dishwasher
- Control panel: Clean with a lightly dampened cloth, dry thoroughly.
- Exterior: Use appliance polish wax.
- Never use sharp objects, scouring pads, or harsh cleaners.
- Door: Clean edge with a soft, warm, damp cloth. Avoid water penetration into lock/electrical components; do not use spray cleaners. Abrasive agents or paper towels may scratch stainless steel.

Grasp middle of spray arm, pull upwards to remove. Wash and replace carefully. Check rotation after reassembly.
11. How to Keep Your Dishwasher in Shape
After Every Wash
Turn off water supply and leave door slightly open to prevent moisture/odors.
Remove the Plug
Before cleaning or maintenance, always remove the plug from the socket.
No Solvents or Abrasive Cleaning
For exterior/rubber parts, use a cloth with warm soapy water. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. For interior spots/stains, use a cloth with water and a little vinegar, or a specific dishwasher cleaner.
When not in use for a long time
Run an empty wash cycle, then unplug, turn off water supply, and leave door slightly open. This helps seals last longer and prevents odors.
Moving the Appliance
Keep in vertical position if possible. If necessary, it can be positioned on its back.
Seals
Food trapped in seals can cause odors. Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge prevents this.
12. Installation Instruction
Attention: Installation of pipes and electrical equipment should be done by qualified professionals.
⚠️ Warning: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect electrical power before installing. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
