Installation
Important Initial Setup
STOP: Follow these instructions before using the beverage center.
Do not plug in the beverage center until it has been resting upright for at least six (6) hours after transport. This allows the refrigerant and compressor oil to settle, preventing severe mechanical issues and voiding the warranty.
Transport
Use two or more people to move the unit. Do not use the stainless steel handle to lift or move the unit.
Ventilation Space
For efficient operation, the beverage center requires adequate ventilation. Ensure at least 2 inches (50 mm) of space on each side and above, and 4 inches (100 mm) of space behind the unit. The door requires approximately 22 inches (558 mm) of space in front to open fully to 160°.
Stable Surface
Place the beverage center on a flat, stable surface. Adjust the front leveling legs to ensure quiet operation and prevent rattling.
IMPORTANT:
- Never place the unit on soft materials like foam or thick carpeting.
- Ensure the unit and door are aligned. Use the adjustable legs to align the unit and the screws under the triangular bracket cover to align the door.
Power Supply
The beverage center operates on a 115V/60Hz single-phase motor. Do not use a GFCI outlet. The power plug is a standard grounded three-prong plug and must be connected directly to a power outlet, never to an extension cord. Do not remove the ground prong.
Power Cord
Never shorten or lengthen the power cord. Do not fold or coil it. Never place excess cord length into the compressor enclosure, as this can create a dangerous heat build-up, melt the cord, and cause an electrical hazard or fire. Touching the power cord to the compressor can also cause electrical hazards and damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a trained service provider.
Clean Before Use
Wipe the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and a solution of 2 tbsp. baking soda to 1 qt. warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry. A kitchen appliance wax can be used on outer surfaces. Inspect and clean the rubber gasket around the door. A small amount of petroleum jelly on the bracket side of the gasket can help maintain pliability and ensure a good seal.
IMPORTANT:
- Do not use hot water, harsh detergents, gasoline, kerosene, solvents, acids, or flammable materials for cleaning.
- Do not spray the beverage center with water.
- Do not clean glass shelves with hot water when cold, as they may break.
- Replacement parts must be obtained from Frigidaire Customer Service.
Protect from Moisture
Heavy moisture can degrade insulation and cause rust. Do not spray the unit with water.
Protect from Heat
Place the unit away from heat sources or direct sun. Do not operate outdoors or in environments with high temperatures or humidity. Avoid covering the unit, as this may cause overheating.
Handle Installation
TOOLS NEEDED: Phillips screwdriver #2.
IMPORTANT: NEVER LAY THE BEVERAGE CENTER ON ITS BACK. The compressor and motor components can be easily damaged.
The stainless steel handle attaches to the left side of the glass door with two screws. Pull back the gasket, insert screws into the holes on the back of the door, and position the handle on the outside. Tighten screws until flush with the frame, being careful not to overtighten. Gently press the gasket back into the door frame slot.
Door Reversal Instructions
TOOLS NEEDED: Phillips screwdriver #2 or 5/16" (8 mm) socket tool, thin flathead screwdriver.
The door is shipped with hinges on the right; it can be reversed for left-side opening.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT plug in the unit if reversing the door hinges.
REMOVE GLASS SHELVES BEFORE REVERSING THE DOOR.
Steps:**
- Remove plastic hole insert plugs from the left side of the beverage center.
- Loosen and remove the triangular bracket cover.
- Slide the cover forward and lift off.
- Remove the metal bracket by unscrewing three screws.
- Lift and remove the door.
- Rotate the door 180° for opposite side opening.
- With the unit on its side, remove the bottom metal base bracket and nylon washer. Unscrew the axle insert and screw it into the opposite hole.
- Re-attach the metal base bracket with the nylon washer on the new hinge side. Lift the unit upright.
- Reattach the door by placing it onto the bottom axle insert. Align the top bracket and tighten the three screws.
- Ensure the rubber gasket is compressed evenly on all sides. Adjust the metal bracket position if necessary to ensure the door is level. Tighten screws securely.
- Reinstall the triangular bracket cover.
- Reinstall the plastic hole insert plugs to maintain insulation integrity.
IMPORTANT: Wait at least six hours before plugging in the unit after door reversal to allow refrigerant and oil to settle.
Using Your Beverage Center
Startup
Connect the power cord to a standard wall outlet. You will hear a beep upon connection. Do not use a GFCI outlet.
Temperature - Adjustable Thermostat Control
The default temperature is 43°F. Use the up ⬆️ and down ⬇️ buttons to set the desired temperature between 40°F and 61°F. The display will flash during adjustment and then show the current internal temperature. Pressing the up or down buttons again will display the selected temperature setting. The unit will revert to the last setting after a power outage.
Loading Beverages
For optimal cooling of a large number of beverages:
- Set the thermostat to 43°F.
- Allow the unit to cool for at least two hours.
- Load beverages, referring to loading diagrams for maximum capacity.
- The internal temperature may rise initially after loading.
- Once cooled to 43°F, adjust to your desired temperature (minimum 40°F).
- Allow several hours for the unit to reach the lower temperature.
Note: Temperature variations are normal; areas near the door may be slightly warmer.

Safety Warnings
- This appliance is not intended for use by unsupervised children or infirm persons.
- Do not position in a recessed or enclosed cabinet; designed for freestanding installation only. Not for RV, garage, or outdoor use.
- The compressor surface can get hot; do not touch.
Other Dangers
Keep the unit away from combustible or volatile liquids and gases (gasoline, oil, alcohol, paint, paint thinners, solvents).
Defrosting
Frost may develop on the interior back panel if the temperature is set very low and the unit is not fully stocked. This can cause continuous operation and increase internal temperature.
To defrost:
- Use the up ⬆️ and down ⬇️ buttons to increase the temperature until the compressor turns off.
- Allow frost to melt. Ensure the internal drain (at the middle back of the lower shelf) is not clogged. Melted frost flows to a pan on top of the compressor, where heat evaporates the liquid.
- Reset the temperature to 43°F and allow to cool for at least one hour.
- Adjust to the desired temperature setting.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Periodically clean and maintain the beverage center. Ensure the unit is unplugged before maintenance.
Wipe interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Use mild detergent or baking soda and water solution if needed. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. A kitchen appliance wax can be applied to outer surfaces.
Inspect, clean, and maintain the rubber gasket. A small amount of petroleum jelly on the gasket's bracket side will keep it pliable and ensure a good seal.
IMPORTANT:
- Do not use hot water, harsh detergents, gasoline, kerosene, solvents, acids, or flammable materials.
- Do not spray the unit with water.
- Do not clean glass shelves with hot water when cold.
- Obtain replacement components only from Frigidaire Customer Service.
