Ventilation Controls
- The FILTER button indicates when it's time to clean the grease filter and trays, typically after 40 hours of use. Refer to the "Cleaning Your Grease Filter" section for detailed instructions.
- After cleaning, press and hold the FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset the tracker.
- If you frequently cook high-grease foods (e.g., grilling, wok cooking), you may need to clean the filter more often.
- To reduce the risk of a grease fire, clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not accumulate on the fan or filter.
- Never operate the hood without the grease filter installed.
- Pressing DELAY immediately activates ventilation at full blower speed for 10 minutes.
- If ventilation is already on, pressing DELAY will not increase blower speed but will set an automatic 10-minute shut-off.
- To end ventilation sooner, press '0' on the display to turn off the blower early.
- Selecting AUTO mode allows the blower to operate automatically based on detected heat.
- If excessive heat is detected, the AUTO button will blink 3 times, and the fan speed will increase. The fan speed cannot be reduced until the hood has cooled down.
Ventilation Tips and Tricks
- Turn on the blower 5 minutes before cooking to efficiently remove heat, smoke, grease, and cooking odors.
- Minimize drafts, as they can reduce the hood's effectiveness.
- For best results when producing high amounts of smoke or steam (e.g., browning or pan-frying meat), use a rear burner.
Cleaning Your Grease Filter
- Your grease filter is dishwasher safe. Minor discoloration may occur but does not affect performance.
- Place filters loosely on the top rack of your dishwasher and run a normal cycle with detergent.
- Avoid washing heavily soiled grease filters with other dishes.
- For hand washing: Soak the filter in hot water and gentle soap, rinse well, and shake to dry.
- Use a gentle brush for tough grease. A degreaser may be used if necessary.
- For detailed instructions on removing and cleaning specific grease filters, consult your Owner Manual or view the following videos:

- Always allow the ventilation system to cool down before removing grease filters.
- Ensure grease filters are completely dry before reinstalling them in the hood.
Cleaning and Care
- For general cleaning, wipe the hood's interior and exterior with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sponges.
- For visual instructions, watch our Cleaning Your Ventilation Video.
- Wipe controls with a lightly damp, soapy sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- To clean stainless steel, wipe with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water, then wipe dry. Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
- After cleaning stainless steel, apply Thermador Stainless Steel Conditioner for an enhanced shine.
- Apply the conditioner with a soft cloth, following the grain, then wipe away any excess.
- Conditioner is not necessary for black, smudge-proof, or easy-clean steel finishes; these only require washing with mild, soapy water and a soft cloth.
- Do not use conditioner on non-steel surfaces, logos, control markings, or appliance interiors.
- Thermador Stainless Steel Conditioner (Spray Bottle # 00576697, Wipes # 17002200) is sold separately. Purchase at the Thermador Accessories Store.
