STC-9100 Thermostat
Quick Start Guide
(Version 21.08.02GEN)
The STC-9100 is a defrost temperature controller that manages three loads: the refrigeration device, the defrosting unit, and the External Alarm.
1. Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram illustrates the connections for the STC-9100. Key connections include:
- Live
- Neutral/Null
- Earth
- Power Supply Input (Co)
Components connected are:
- Compressor
- Defrosting
- Alarm
- Room Sensor (7)
- Defrosting Sensor (9)
- Co-point of Sensors (8)
A copy key is also indicated.
2. Set the temperature
The room temperature can be set within a range, typically from "F1" to "F1 + F2" (e.g., "SEE" to "SEE + HY"). Settings can be adjusted via the user interface or the Admin Interface. The following describes the Admin Interface method:
Step 1: Enter the Admin Interface
Hold the [SET] key and the [▼] key simultaneously for 10 seconds. The code "F1" ("SEE") will be displayed.
Step 2: Adjust Temperature Value
Press the [SET] key to view the current value. Use the [▲] key or the [▼] key to change the "F1" value.
Step 3: Save and Exit
Press the [SET] key to save the new data. The display will return to the menu list, showing the code "F1" ("SEE") again.
Step 4: Update Other Codes
Switch to other codes (e.g., "F2" ("HY")) by pressing the [▲] key. Repeat steps 2-4 to update all desired codes.
The unit will automatically exit the setting mode and return to normal status within 10 seconds if no further input is detected.
Parameter Codes:
- F1 (SEE): SP (Temperature Set-Point)
- F2 (HY): Temperature Hysteresis / Return Difference
- F3 (US): Upper limit for SP
- F4 (LS): Lower limit for SP
- F5 (AC): Delay Time for the Compressor
- F10: Defrosting Mode (e.g., 0 (EL) for Electric-Heating, 1 (HEG) for Hot Gas from the compressor)
If the "F1" ("SEE") value cannot be modified, adjust "F3" and "F4" (the "US" and "LS" limits) accordingly.
3. Configure the Defrosting
This unit controls defrosting based on Time and Temperature.
Temperature Condition:
When the evaporation sensor temperature is lower than the preset "defrosting Stop temperature" (e.g., "F8 (dTE)"), it signifies a significant value.
Time Condition 1:
The real-time passes the preset interval time "F6 (dF)", a regular parameter for most defrosting thermostats.
Time Condition 2:
If the "defrosting method" is set to Hot Gas from the compressor reverse rotary (e.g., F10 = 1 (HEG)), the system will count based on the compressor's last stops moment plus "F5 (AC)", which is a protective value to avoid frequent compressor startup and stops.
The operation method is similar to what is shown on page 1.
Parameter Codes:
- F6 (dF): Defrosting Cycle / Interval Time
- F7 (AdF): Defrosting Lasting/Running Time
- F8 (dTE): Defrosting Stop Temperature
- F9 (FdE): Defrosting Water Dripping Time
- F11 (dCE): Count mode of defrost cycle (0 (tE): Cumulative time from controller power on; 1 (COH): Cumulative time of compressor working)
- F12 (dFd): Display mode when defrosting (A. 0 (tE): Shows the room sensor temperature display; B. 1 (tE): Shows the evaporator sensor temperature)
4. Set the External Alarm
Unlike other defrost thermostats that only reference the room sensor, the STC-9100 also monitors the evaporator sensor temperature.
Alarm Output Options (F13 (dño)):
- Π-Π/Π: The alarm output's function was banned.
- A-C/I: The alarm follows the buzzer status. It cannot be canceled before all errors are fixed.
Check the following items for sensor position, EN code, F code, and meaning:
Sensor Position | EN Code | F code | Meaning |
---|---|---|---|
Evaporator | ELL | F14 | Lower Limit |
Eod | F15 | Time delay | |
ELU | F16 | Upper Limit | |
Room | ALL | F17 | Upper Limit |
ALD | F18 | Lower Limit | |
F19 | Time delay |
