Operation
Naming Supplements
Enter the names of the supplements you will be using in the app.
Priming
Priming fills the dosing tube with the supplement. Ensure the supplement reaches the end of the outlet dosing tube before calibration. This can be done via the 'Long press to priming' / 'Stop' buttons in the app.
Calibration
Follow the in-app instructions for calibration using the provided laboratory-grade measuring cylinder. Ensure the cylinder is clean and dry for accurate readings. Note the meniscus of the liquid; measure at the bottom of the curve. Estimate volumes to the nearest 0.05ml.
During calibration, the dosing head performs a set number of rotations to dispense 3-4ml. The app will confirm the calibration with a 4ml dose, which should be between 3.95ml and 4.05ml. Repeat if necessary.
Scheduling Doses
The 'My Chihiros' app allows for various scheduling options:
- Automatic Dosing Schedule: Set daily or weekly schedules for each dosing head. Schedules can be enabled/disabled without losing settings.
- Dose Types:
- Single dose: The total daily dose is administered in one portion at a specific time.
- Hourly dose: The total daily dose is divided into 24 equal hourly doses.
- Custom Periods: Divide the total daily dose into up to four periods with specified start/end times and number of doses.
- Timer schedule: Set up to 24 individual doses with unique times and volumes.
- Recurrence: Choose 'Daily' for seven-day operation or 'Select days' for specific days of the week.
- Manual Dosing: Administer doses on-demand without affecting the automatic schedule.
Advanced Features
- Supplement Volume Monitor: Tracks supplement levels and notifies you three days before it runs out based on your schedule.
- Missed Dose Compensation: Automatically compensates for missed doses due to power outages or other interruptions, provided the feature is enabled and a battery is installed.
- Power-off Memory: Installing a CR2032 button battery ensures clock accuracy, program integrity, and retention of settings during power failures.
