Function Description
Power on & off
Press and hold the side "power" key to turn the device on or off. Press the "power" key to lock or unlock the display when the device is on.
Note: The device has a power-saving function. If it is not operated within the time set for the "Backlight Timer", the display will lock automatically.
Volume adjustment
Press the side volume "+/-" keys to adjust the volume.
Pause/Play
Press the "play" key to pause/resume recording or music playback.
Delete function
In the folder view directory, select music or recording files, and long-press the "play" key to delete them. Note: This feature is only available in Folder Options.
Previous/Next
During playback, press the "Previous/Next" key to switch between tracks.
Fast forward/rewind
During playback, long-press the "next/previous" key for fast forward/rewind.
Back/open submenu function
Short press the "M" key to return to the function (the main interface will not respond). During music or recording playback, long-press the "M" key to enter the submenu.
Submenu
- Back to the main page: Returns to the main page after selection.
- Variable Speed Playback: Adjusts playback speed (-9/9).
- Repeat Playback: Includes loop all, shuffle, loop single.
- Bookmark: There are 5 bookmark options for music and recording. Press "play" to select a blank bookmark to save the current time point. Press "play" again to select a saved bookmark and enter the time point to play. Long press "play" to select a saved bookmark and choose "Yes/No" to delete it.
- Add to playlist: Add the current music/recording to "Music" – "Favorites".
- Equalizer: Set to Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Dance, Country, etc.
A-B repeat setting
During playback, long-press the "play" key. The "A-B" icon will turn blue, indicating the start of the repeat section. Long-press "play" again, the "A-B" icon turns green, starting the repeat. Long-press "play" again to exit A-B repeat mode.
Main Page
The main page has 5 applications: Music, Folder, Recorder, Bluetooth, and Settings.
MUSIC
Under "Music", options include: Last Played, All Songs, Artists, Albums, Favorites, etc.
Recording
- One-key recording: Press the "record" key while powered on to start recording. Press "record" again during recording to save.
- Recordings library: Select a recording file to play and press the "play" key.
- Recording bit rate: WAV format (PCM linear recording) supports 512kbps/1536kbps/3072kbps. Note: Noise reduction is not supported for 1536kbps and 3072kbps.
- Recording scene: Choose from "Closure, Meeting, Interview, Teaching, Station" based on your scene.
- Recording segment: Can be set to off or on, with options for 30, 60, and 120 minutes. Files are automatically saved based on the set duration.
- Voice-activated recording: This function can be turned on or off. Note: When "Open Voice Control" is on, the device automatically detects surrounding sound. It records when sound reaches a certain standard (approx. 60-65db) and pauses if it's lower. It's recommended not to use this function in important environments.
BLUETOOTH
Switch between music mode and phone mode
In mode options, short press the "play" key to switch between music and phone modes. Note: Bluetooth must be turned off when switching modes.
- Music mode: Use a Bluetooth headset/speaker to connect for music and recording playback. Select "Bluetooth" in music mode, short press "play" to turn on Bluetooth. Select "Available Devices" -> "Search Devices", find the Bluetooth device name, and short press "play" to connect. "Paired Devices" allows switching connected devices.
- Phone mode: After connecting your mobile phone, use the recorder to answer/hang up calls and record calls.
a. Select "Bluetooth" in call mode and short press "play" to turn on Bluetooth.
b. With Bluetooth on, search for the device using your mobile phone's Bluetooth.
c. Upon successful connection, the device accesses call audio. Caller ID from the mobile phone is displayed.
d. Short press "play" to connect the call, long press "play" to hang up.
e. After connecting the phone, the device automatically records the call. Short press "record" to end or start recording.
Note: You can switch to other audio in the phone call interface. The first line of the call recording interface shows call duration, and the second line shows recording time. Call recordings are in "Recorder" – "Recording Library" or "Folder -> record", with "phone" in the filename. Ensure the distance between the recorder and mobile phone is within 3 meters, and between the recorder and user is within 0.5 meters. Temporarily supports call recording for Apple and some Android phones. If Bluetooth connection fails, restart the phone and reconnect Bluetooth.
Folder
In the folder option, you can browse/play all music and recording files. Long-press the "play" key on a selected file to delete it.
Settings
- Language: Set the language (e.g., English, 中文, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Español).
- Date & time: Set the date and time. During setting, short press "up" and "down" to adjust numbers, short press "play" to confirm and move options, short press "M" to exit.
- Brightness: Set display brightness.
- Backlight Timer: Set screen on/off switch, screensaver switch, screen-off time, and continuous screensaver display time.
- Idle Shutdown: Set the idle shutdown switch and time.
- Information: View software version, total storage capacity, and remaining capacity.
- Factory Settings: Restore factory settings.
- Update Playlist: Force update playlist; bookmarks and favorites will be reset.
- Update firmware from native storage: Copy firmware to the machine and select this option to update.
- Power-on Password: Enable/disable and modify the power-on password. The universal password is "9999". If forgotten, enter "9999" to confirm and access the main interface.
Connect with PC
While powered on, connect the PC and recorder with a USB cable. When the machine's main interface appears (transfer files/charge only), short press "play" to confirm "transfer files". A green arrow in the computer interface indicates a successful connection. Selecting "Charge only" will only charge the device.
How to deal with common problems
- The player cannot be turned on: Check if the battery is exhausted. Connect to a computer or charger to recharge and try again.
- No sound in headset: Check if the volume is zero. Ensure earphones are properly inserted into the jack.
- Serious noise: Check if the earphone plug is clean. Check if the music file is damaged; try other files. Damaged files may cause noise or skipping.
- Cannot connect with Bluetooth: Confirm the Bluetooth device is paired. Delete all connected devices, turn off Bluetooth, or restart the machine and try again. Alternatively, restart the Bluetooth speaker, headset, and mobile phone.
- Cannot download files: Confirm the computer-to-player connection is correct. Check if internal storage is full. Check if the USB cable is damaged.
