Announcement Details
We currently expect to be accepting final orders through July 31, 2015 however product availability is determined by announced End of Sale (EOS) date or depletion of inventory whichever comes first. We strongly encourage customers to transition all backlog and new orders to the replacement products that are identified in this announcement.
Definitions:
- End of Sale (EOS) & End of Support Life (EOSL) announcement date: The date when Aruba announces the End of Sale (EOS) and End of Support Life (EOSL) for a given product to the general public.
- End of Sales (EOS) Date: The product is no longer available for purchase after this date and is removed from all price lists. However, product availability is determined by announced End of Sale (EOS) date or depletion of inventory whichever comes first. We strongly encourage customers to transition all backlog and new orders to the replacement product that is identified in the End of Sale (EOS) & End of Support Life (EOSL) announcement.
- End of Support Life (EOSL): The product is no longer supported by Aruba Support Services after this date.
- End of Warranty Date: The product is no longer eligible for warranty claims after this date. For Limited Lifetime Warranty products, this date is the same as the End of Support Life (EOSL) date.

- End of Support Life (EOSL) date (hardware): July 31, 2020

- 8.5.x.y: April 30, 2021
- 8.6.x.y: October 31, 2023
- End of Support Life (EOSL) date (Instant software):
- 4.2.x.y: October 31, 2023

Hardware Support
Aruba's Limited Lifetime Warranty ensures that in case of hardware failure or defect Aruba will replace the product with another of similar type through the hardware EOSL date. Limited Lifetime Warranty expires at that date.
Software Support
- Aruba TAC will provide support for all Aruba platforms for customers with valid support contracts.
- Aruba TAC will provide best effort support to troubleshoot past the EOS date.
- Customers running software releases no longer supported will often be asked to upgrade to a release under support. Aruba will not provide patches for releases no longer supported.
- Patches to correct defects and vulnerabilities in supported releases are solely at the discretion of Aruba.
