Conditioning Guidelines
Always Consult Your Physician Before Beginning an Exercise Program.
How Often? (Frequency of Workouts)
The American Heart Association recommends 3-4 days per week for cardiovascular fitness. For goals like weight or fat loss, more frequent exercise is beneficial. Make exercise a lifetime habit by setting aside a specific time each day.
How Long? (Duration of Workouts)
For aerobic benefits, aim for 24-60 minutes per session. Start slowly and gradually increase duration. For weight loss, longer sessions at lower intensities (48 minutes or more) are recommended.
How Hard? (Intensity of Workouts)
Intensity should be determined by your goals. Always begin at a low intensity. Aerobic exercise does not need to be painful to be beneficial.
Maintenance
Routine Maintenance:
Horizon Fitness bikes use sealed bearings, so lubrication is not needed. The most important maintenance is to wipe perspiration off the trainer after each use.

After Each Use (Daily):
- Turn off the bike by unplugging the power cord.
- Wipe down the bike with a damp cloth. Never use solvents.
- Inspect the power cord for damage. Contact Horizon Fitness if damaged.
- Ensure the power cord is not pinched or cut.
NOTE: Regularly inspect the equipment for damage or wear. Replace faulty parts immediately and do not use until repaired.
WARNING: Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before performing maintenance.
Weekly:
