What's Inside
The package includes:
- SodaStream® FIZZI™ Sparkling Water Maker
- SodaStream® CO₂ Cylinder (under license)
- Reusable BPA-Free carbonating bottle with fizz-preserving cap
A 60L SodaStream® CO₂ Cylinder can make up to 60L of sparkling water, depending on the carbonation level. The cylinder can be exchanged for a full one for the price of the gas only.
Note: The actual shape of the bottle may differ. Some models may include a dishwasher-safe carbonating bottle, identified by a 'Dishwasher-Safe' marking.
Installing the CO₂ Cylinder
- Place the FIZZI™ Sparkling Water Maker on a flat, sturdy surface in an upright position. Remove the back cover by grasping it and pulling it away from the main body.
- Remove the seal and cap from the SodaStream CO₂ cylinder. Tip the Sparkling Water Maker forward and insert the cylinder through the hole in the base and upward into the carbonating head.
- Screw the cylinder valve thread into the carbonating head. Hand-tighten only; do not use tools.
- Return the Sparkling Water Maker to its upright position. Reinstall the back cover by aligning the upright tab at the bottom of the back cover with the slot at the rear of the base and pushing the cover into place.
Create the Bubbles
- Fill the carbonating bottle with cold water up to the designated fill line.
- To insert the bottle, ensure the bottle rest is angled forward. If not, pull it towards you until it clicks. Insert the bottle neck into the Snap-Lock mechanism. Push the bottle up and back until it is caught and held vertically.
- To carbonate, press and hold the carbonating button down firmly until you hear three puffing sounds. Release the button.
- When the desired carbonation level is reached, pull the carbonating bottle towards you to release it from the Snap-Lock.
Note: You may see small pieces of ice appear in the water during carbonation of very cold water. If this occurs, shorten the duration of each press until the ice stops appearing, as it can affect carbonation. Any ice created will melt.
Flavor Your Way!
After creating sparkling water, hold the open carbonating bottle at an angle. Slowly add your preferred SodaStream Sparkling Drink Mix flavor by pouring it down the inside wall of the bottle. Close the bottle with the fizz-preserving cap, tighten it, and mix with a gentle shake. Enjoy!

Troubleshooting
Sparkling Water Maker Does Not Carbonate:
- Check if the CO₂ cylinder needs replacement.
- Ensure the cylinder is securely tightened by hand (do not use tools). If it's tight but still not working, it may be empty.
- Verify the carbonating bottle is filled to the fill line.
- Ensure the Sparkling Water Maker is in the upright position.
Cannot Insert Carbonating Bottle into Snap-Lock:
- Pull the bottle rest forward until it clicks. Insert the bottle into the Snap-Lock and push up and back until it locks.
Gas Escaping from Carbonating Bottle:
- The bottle may not be attached correctly. Reattach it following the 'Create the Bubbles' instructions. A small amount of gas release at the end of carbonation is normal.
Re-carbonating a Drink:
- WARNING: Never re-carbonate after adding flavor. Only re-carbonate plain or unflavored sparkling water.
Sparkling Water Maker Continues to Release Gas:
- Do not touch the machine or remove the cylinder/bottle. Leave it upright until gas release stops. Contact customer service if the issue persists.
- WARNING: In case of a carbon dioxide leak, ventilate the area, breathe fresh air, and seek medical attention if unwell.
Sound of Leaking Gas After Installing New Cylinder:
- Screw the cylinder tighter into its fitting by hand.
Poor Carbonation:
- WARNING: Do not re-carbonate after adding flavor.
- If flavor has not been added, carbonate again to a higher level.
- Use cold water for carbonation.
- If the problem persists, the cylinder may be empty.
Water Overflows from Bottle During Carbonation:
- Ensure the bottle is filled only to the fill line.
- Verify the bottle is securely installed in the Snap-Lock. Reinsert if loose.
Flavor Not Strong Enough:
- Add more flavor to taste.
- WARNING: Do not re-carbonate after adding flavor.
Ice Appears During Carbonation:
- This can happen with very cold water. Shorten the press time until ice stops appearing.
