Quick Start Guide
Console Software Update
PS5® console
- Select "Settings" → "System".
- Select "System Software" → "System Software Update and Settings". If a new update is available, "Update Available" will be displayed.
- Select "Update System Software" to update the software.
PS4® console
- Select "Settings" → "System Software Update".
- If a new update is available, follow the steps as shown on the screen to update the software.
Step 1: Set the Hardware Toggle Switch
Set the Hardware Toggle Switch to the appropriate position for your console or PC.

Step 2: Connect the USB cable
Connect the included USB cable (Type-C™ to Type-C™) to the controller.

Step 3: Plug in the cable to the hardware
Connect the other end of the USB cable to your console or PC.

*When using the controller with PlayStation®4 consoles, please use a USB-C™ to USB-A data cable such as HORI SPF-015U USB Charging Play Cable (sold separately).
Important Usage Instructions
- ⚠️ Do not use this product with a USB hub or extension cable.
- Do not plug or unplug the USB during gameplay.
- Do not use the controller in the following scenarios:
- When connecting to your PS5® console, PS4® console or PC.
- When turning on your PS5® console, PS4® console or PC.
- When waking your PS5® console, PS4® console or PC from rest mode.
Step 4: Turn on the console and log in
Turn on the console and log in with the controller by pressing the [PS button] on the controller.

Caution
Parents / Guardians: Please read the following information carefully.
- This product contains small parts. Keep away from children under 3 years old.
- Keep this product away from small children or infants. Seek medical attention immediately if any small parts are swallowed.
- This product is for indoor use only.
- Please use this product where the room temperature is 0-40°C (32-104°F).
- Do not pull the cable to unplug the controller from the PC. Doing so may cause the cable to break or become damaged.
- Be careful not to get your foot caught on the cable. Doing so may cause bodily injury or damage to the cable.
- Do not bend the cables roughly or use the cables while they are bundled.
- Long cord. Strangulation hazard. Keep away from children under 3 years old.
- Do not use the product if there is foreign material or dust on the terminals of the product. This may cause electric shock, malfunction, or poor contact. Remove any foreign material or dust with a dry cloth.
- Keep the product away from dusty or humid areas.
- Do not use this product if it has been damaged or modified.
- Do not touch this product with wet hands. This may cause an electric shock.
- Do not get this product wet. This may cause an electric shock or malfunction.
- Do not place this product near heat sources or leave under direct sunlight for an extended period. Overheating may cause malfunction.
- Do not use this product with a USB hub. The product may not function properly.
- Do not touch the metal parts of the USB plug.
- Do not insert the USB plug into socket-outlets.
- Do not apply strong impact or weight on the product.
- Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair this product.
- If product needs cleaning, use only a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical agents like benzene or thinner.
- We are not responsible for any accidents or damages in the event of use other than the intended purpose.
- The packaging must be retained since it contains important information.
- The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong electro-magnetic interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function does not resume, please relocate to an area which does not have electro-magnetic interference to use the product.

Notes:
- The "Button Removal Pin" is attached to the bottom of the product.
- Do not touch the metal parts of the switch.
- When storing the mechanical switch, avoid places with high temperature and humidity to prevent discoloration due to sulfurization of the terminals (metal parts).
- To avoid damage, please keep the Switch (spare) package unopened until just before use.
Compatibility
PlayStation®5 console
The NOLVA Mechanical All-Button Arcade Controller comes with a USB-C™ to USB-C™ data cable included for PlayStation®5 consoles.
PlayStation®4 console
PlayStation®4 consoles require a USB-C™ to USB-A data cable. When using the controller with PlayStation®4 consoles, please use a USB-C™ to USB-A data cable such as HORI SPF-015U USB Charging Play Cable (sold separately).
Important: Before using this product, please read the instruction manuals for the software and console hardware. Ensure your console is updated to the latest system software. An internet connection is required for console updates.
This user manual focuses on console use, but the product can also be used on a PC following similar instructions.

Key Lock Feature
Some inputs can be disabled by using the LOCK Switch. In LOCK Mode, the functions listed in the table below are disabled.

Headset Jack
A headset or headphones can be connected by plugging into the headset jack. Please connect the headset to the controller before gameplay. Connecting a headset during gameplay may momentarily disconnect the controller.
⚠️ Please turn down the volume on the hardware before connecting a headset, as the sudden high volume may cause discomfort to your ears.
Do not use high volume settings for an extended period of time to avoid hearing loss.
Custom Buttons
The Custom Buttons can be removed and covered with the included Button Socket Cover when not in use.
How to remove Custom Buttons and Button Socket Cover
Insert the Button Removal Pin into the corresponding hole on the underside of the product. The Button Removal Pin is stored on the underside.

How to install Button Socket Cover
Make sure the position of the two tabs are aligned and push in the Button Socket Cover until it clicks into place.

How to install Custom Buttons
- Pay attention to the orientation of the switch and insert it into the corresponding sockets. The switch terminals may break if the switch is forcefully inserted. Use a spare switch (included) if they are damaged.
- Make sure the position of the two tabs are aligned and push in the Button Plunger until it clicks into place.
*The same type of switch can be installed, but its operation is not guaranteed.

How to Assign Button Functions
Follow these steps to assign custom functions to buttons:
Step 1: Start Setting
Operation: Press and hold the ASSIGN Button for 3 seconds.
LED Status: ASSIGN LED blinks slowly.
Setting Status: Button inputs are disabled during setting.

Step 2: Select Button to Set
Operation: Press the button you want to set.
LED Status: ASSIGN LED blinks quickly.
Setting Status: The button to set is selected.

Step 3: Assign Function or Disable
Operation: Press the button of the function you want to assign to the button pressed in Step 2.
Alternatively, to disable the button, press and hold the ⋁ (create) button for 3 seconds.
LED Status: ASSIGN LED turns ON.
Setting Status: A function is assigned to the button pressed in Step 2. If set to NC (Disabled), assignment will stop. The function of the button pressed in Step 2 replaces the function pressed in Step 3.

Notes:
- When multiple buttons are pressed in Step 3, the function of the last button pressed is assigned.
- If no button is pressed for 4 seconds in Step 1 or Step 2, the ASSIGN LED will turn off automatically and the setting will be closed.
- When the ASSIGN LED turns ON, it indicates that a button is assigned and will stay assigned until button function is reset to default.
- Button settings remain even when the PlayStation®5 console, PlayStation®4 console, or PC is turned off and USB cable is disconnected.
Return all Buttons to Default
Step 1: Start Setting
Operation: Press and hold the ASSIGN Button for 3 seconds.
LED Status: ASSIGN LED blinks slowly.
Setting Status: Button inputs are disabled during setting.

Step 2: Confirm Reset
Operation: Press the ASSIGN Button.
LED Status: ASSIGN LED turns OFF.
Setting Status: All button functions will return to default settings and the setting function closes.

Notes:
- If no button is pressed for 4 seconds in Step 1, the ASSIGN LED will turn off automatically and the setting will be closed.

App [HORI Device Manager Vol.2]
Use the app to customize button assignments and directional buttons input priorities. Any changes you make in the app will be saved in the controller.

Troubleshooting
If this product does not function as desired, please check the following:
- Pushing the ? (PS) button does not turn on the console
Pressing the [PS button] will not power on the console. Please power on the console normally before use.
For PlayStation®5 console: Push the power button on the PlayStation®5 console or press the [PS button] on the DualSense® wireless controller that is paired to the console. Then press the [PS button] on the controller and log in to use.
For PlayStation®4 console: Push the power Button on the PlayStation®4 console or press the [PS button] on the DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller that is paired to the console. Then press the [PS button] on the controller and log in to use. - Controller is responsive on the Home Screen, but not during gameplay
On the console, the controller does not function if you sign in with a different account than the one you selected when starting the software. Please sign in with the controller into the same account that was used to start the software. Please note that this product may not function with console software. - The product is unresponsive after turning on the console by pressing the ? (PS) button on the DualSense® wireless controller or DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller
If the console is turned on with the [PS button] on the DualSense® wireless controller or DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller, make sure you sign in using the DualSense® wireless controller or DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller. From the Home Screen, push the [PS button] on the product to sign in with the product. - Hardware Toggle Switch and Key Lock Switch are not functioning properly
Please check the switch before use so that gameplay is not interrupted.
- Check that the switch (Hardware Switch & Key Lock Switch) are set to the correct option.
- Set the Hardware Toggle Switch before connecting to the console. The product may not work properly if the switch is changed while connected to the console.
- Controller is not responding even when pushing the ? (PS) Button
Please make sure that the Hardware Toggle Switch is set to the correct hardware. (See "Quick Start Guide")
Please check that your console is updated to the latest system software.
On the console, the controller does not function if you sign in with a different account than the one you selected when starting the software. Please sign in with the controller into the same account that was used to start the software. Please note that this product may not function with some console software.
For PlayStation®5 console : Use the DualSense® wireless controller to set up the console.
For PlayStation®4 console: Use the DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller to set up the console.
