Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for the correct installation of the GDW towbar.
General Steps:
- Remove the spare wheel, loosen the exhaust in the rear, and remove the heat shield.
- Provisionally attach the mounting piece (-f) to the left and right inner sides of the chassis. Align point (A') with the existing drilling in the chassis. Mark point (B) and drill with a 10.5 mm drill bit. Remove the mounting piece and enlarge the drilling on the inner side of the chassis to 20 mm (see photos 1-4). Insert the raised washers into the enlarged drillings (see photos 2-5).
- Place the mounting piece (-f) against the left inner side of the chassis. Insert bolts and washers from the outside of the chassis into the drillings. Do not tighten yet (see photo 3).
- At point (A), insert the raised washer from the outside of the chassis. Position the towbar with points (A) and (B) onto the drillings (see photo 6). Align points (C) and (C') with points (C) and (C') of the mounting piece (-f) (see photo 7). Insert all bolts and washers and tighten securely.
- Mount the exhaust and heat shield. Mount the towbar (*) and securely fasten everything.

Important Notes
- Consult your car dealer or owner's manual for the maximum permissible towing mass.
- Remove any bitumen coating or sound-deadening material from the fastening points for the towbar.
- When drilling, be careful not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring, or fuel lines.
