Assembly Instructions
Step A: Connecting Side Panels
Align the individual pins of the back panel (SCC21SPE) with the adjacent notches on the side panels (SCC4SPEL on left, SCC4SPER on right). Ensure the back panel is elevated and securely attached.
IMPORTANT! Ensure all front-facing electrical components are wired before attaching cabinets, as access will be limited later.
Secure the panels using the provided screws. There are four pre-drilled holes on each side panel. Two screws are at the top, one in the middle, and one at the bottom. The holes on the SCC4SPEL and SCC4SPER panels are threaded.
Step C: Height Adjustment & Support Beam
For appliances taller than 34-1/2", you can increase the height by extending the Peg-Legs up to an additional 1-1/2" or by not installing the support arm, which provides an immediate 1" height clearance.
The back panel (SCC21SPE) includes a cross-beam support with a counter rail. Mount this panel to the left and right sides using the included screws to support the counter front.
IMPORTANT! If removing counter rails for a Full Bullnose or Waterfall counter edge, remove all counter rails BEFORE connecting cabinets and BEFORE installing the counter.
Diagram shows an example of a waterfall edge.
Step E: Creating Multiple Appliance Runs
To create multi-appliance runs, connect additional back panels. Use Item No. SCC25SPE for fridges up to 25" width, SCC21SPE for fridges up to 21" width, and SCC15SPE for fridges up to 15" width. Use bolts and lock-nuts when connecting panels.
Step F: Front Support Arms
Attach multiple front support arms to the underside of the counter. Pre-drilled holes in each corner panel allow the counter installer to bolt from the underside, securing the support arms to the cabinet front trim panels.
IMPORTANT! When extending the counter across open areas without support, consult your counter installer about installing a special steel rod recessed into the underside of the counter.
Step G: Electrical Installation
Install all electrical boxes and peg legs before proceeding. Electrical wires are installed after cabinets are connected but before the counter is installed.
Use a GFCI 2-way electrical outlet in the front-facing panel. Standard electrical outlets can be placed on the interior. The cover panel can be removed and hung below when electrical is in use.
Punch out the black plastic utility cover port to route electrical wires, gas lines, or water lines through consecutive cabinets.
Step H: Kick-Plate Installation
IMPORTANT! Always install Kick-Plates after all cabinets are completely assembled and leveled. Refer to the main cabinet instruction manual for leveling Peg-Legs. Install Kick-Plates from Left to Right.
Place Kick-Plates by sliding open slots onto the provided small pegs, then sliding to the left. They can be easily removed for access to the underside of the cabinet. End kickplates are installed last.
