FAAC SLH Series Remote Control Programming Notice
Principle
Each new MASTER remote control has its own code and can copy the code from another remote control. During the initial installation, the first remote control is registered, which transmits its code to the radio receiver. Additional remote controls are then registered by copying the code of the first remote control using the method: Coding from an already in-service remote control.
MASTER / SLAVE Remote Control
This series of remote controls includes:
- MASTER remote controls (the indicator light flashes once then stays constantly lit when the button is held down) which can initialize another remote control, and can themselves be initialized.
- SLAVE remote controls (constant illumination of the remote control's indicator light when the button is held down) which cannot initialize another remote control.
Note: If the remote control button is pressed more than 32 times, outside the receiver's reception range, the remote control will no longer be recognized by the receiver (FAAC SLH rolling code security). To resynchronize the remote control, press the concerned button twice in succession within 5 seconds.
Coding from an Already in-Service Remote Control
ATTENTION: When performing the coding operation, if you press the buttons on the new remote control first, you risk deprogramming the old one!
Place an already in-service Master remote control and your new remote control head-to-head on a flat surface (like a table).
Simultaneously press and release buttons P1 and P2 on the in-service remote control when the remote control's indicator light flashes.
Next, still on the in-service remote control, press and hold the button to be duplicated.
Press and hold the same button on the new FAAC remote control.
Wait for the indicator light on your new remote control to flash twice and then turn off, indicating successful programming.
Release the buttons.
Test with your new remote control.
Programming the Receiver
ATTENTION: The coding operation will cause the deprogramming of remote controls already in service on this installation.
Open the electronic housing of your motorization unit.
Simultaneously press and release buttons P1 and P2 on the in-service remote control when the remote control flashes.
On the receiver card (RP, Decoder, Minidec), press and hold the auto-learning button so that the card's LED flashes.
While still holding the auto-learning button, press and hold one of the remote control's buttons until the receiver card's LED stays lit for 2 seconds. Release everything.
Wait 10 seconds before testing with your new remote control.
Close the radio receiver.
